Bro how perfect the cracks in the ice were makes it 10x more satisfying to look at
Would be nice to hear the F units running I'm more interested in those than the steamer
Nice catches, Lonewolf. Wow, must be a CP/KCS power move. Thanks for sharing. 👍🐾👍
Dang! Tons of power, nice video 👍
Wow
I saw those same warbonnets travel thru my area. Crazy those are still active
Look at all those Canadian cylindrical covered hoppers! AMAZING catch! Those things are not all too common to see, but seeing only Canadian hoppers on a train in PRESENT DAY? SUPER RARE!
i swear these guys always suck at blowing the horns
Northfield action with UP and UP
Would that be a EMD?
yes
Wait a minute... Was that eddie in that blue van???
Lmao yep
Beautiful! I see u went to the spot where the mini centercab was. I wonder where it went 🤔
It was moved to the other side of the depot
Satisfaction 👌
Very cool. The Iowa Traction just put in some new track a new customer. New video opportunities!!
Oooo, I’ll have to take a trip down there before it gets cold again
Nice catch. Corn looks about ready. Have a fun, safe Labor Day. Thanks for sharing. 👍🐾👍
Nicely filmed! Thanks for sharing these clips
that's litty
Ye
Lookin beautiful
Wow! Where did they put all of them? Sure would be nice to find out who is using them. Nice catch!!!
They put them all in the northfield yard on the UP/PGR interchange track(closest to the park), and I think it’s a mix of the new mclane by Jenny’o and the new faribault foods, I talked to a engineer and he said they switch out mclane every day either at 6 or 12
No matter what kind of cars there is, this is the longest string ive seen coming out of Faribault period. Its amazing
I know, 26 cars is crazy, I remember when it was just like 1-4
@@lonewolf_railfan5771 I used to get hyped over seeing 4 lol
Daaaamn those SDs are working it! such scenery 👌
I have a unit train of those MnSP cars on my lay out.
I've been to the original Hastings and it's nothing like that
Few trains in Winona= Prescott WI and Hastings MN. Beautiful
Ik
I keep messing up😂😂
Nice catches
Nice to see those old Amtrak boxcars are still out there 3:27 BLHX 71191 71105 71114 71081
Amtrak boxcars are a pretty common sight on this line, but they are cool to see with they’re original paint
Nice one! Great to see the double stack traffic grow!!!
Yeah it is great, hopefully it might improve train frequency/speed if it ever gets full intermodal trains. That’s just a thought of mine I had.
SD40s are loud up close
Nice sd40n's
I live in Randolph mn
My brother worked on Iowa Traction the late 1970’s to early 80’s I just saw old video and he was on the train. I do not recall how old that RR is but I new they had passenger service to Clear Lake many decades ago. I recall riding in the engines way back, Pretty cool stuff to see them around yet pulling freight.
Yeah they did use to have passenger service but not with actual passenger trains, they used electric trolley’s, one of the original ones are in the locomotive shops in mason city
Nice!
It was great to meet you Cayden! Come back and visit us anytime!
I for sure will, hopefully it will be a little better of a day out and not raining too!
Awesome!!
It's kinda odd and surprising that that little thing is able to all of those cars. Awesome stuff!
Great catches. Wow, Iowa Traction (electric) is interesting. They just uncoupled and let the covered hoppers roll onto a siding. 🤔 Thanks for sharing. 👍🐾👍
Yeah, a lot of railways do it, I’ve even seen class ones do it but when they’re switching and the locomotive is pushing from the back, but this was the first time I’ve seen a locomotive pulling them like that and releasing
Nice video! Thanks for sharing! Greetings from Switzerland!
Daaaaaaamn! So many changes has happened since i left
Nice
Very nice scenic shots here!
Yeah scenic, but also hella cold 🥶
@@lonewolf_railfan5771 up here we've been averaging around 30 below for the past couple of weeks
Very nice! Please post some more!
What are these locations?
I don’t remember where the first clip was, second was at the southern end of south Saint Paul yard. the third was just west of Union depot where it crosses under the road that eventually goes to pigs eye, fourth was where you saw the “ghost train” 😂, and the last one was pigs eye
Cool catches. 🥶 Happy New Year! Thanks for sharing. 👍🎆👍
What towns were these?
The first video was in 1.Kellogg 2. South of Wabasha 3. North of Wabasha 4. Maple springs 5. Redwing All in Minnesota
The flashing ditch lights were a feature on Southern Pacific's AC4400CWs and most (if not all) former AC4400CWs still have them. Nice catch.
Excellent video of the lights of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train!
Can you record more videos on progressive rail in Faribault? Those are the best videos ever
