    Man, I take my hat off to you. Your talent really shows the versatility of this piece! I have had the custom dark on my Selmer Reference 54 for a couple of years and love it. Purchasing one for my first tenor was therefore a bit of a no brainer for me this week.

      I had a T97 in blue. Regret selling it. Longer facing so you could go with a stiffer reed. I have a t95 now, getting back into it. Usually 2.5 Royals but I put a 2 on it and it screams and whispers. I like how when playing it softly it doesn't lose its core sound.

      I imagine it would be a bit brighter. I switched over to Jodyjazz DV.

    Not really. Technically it is mostly correct but I am not digging it. You also don't have the intensity that SRV did- very few did. Can you do a passable version of the song- yeah. Can you "Hang?" Not on your best day. No worries, I play SRV all the time on guitar and I don't hang with him either. Even John Mayer said...he CAN hang with SRV tunes...for about 10 seconds then his fingers quit.

    I like T75 which delivers a combination of dark and bright sounds; very balanced. T95 is always dark for some reason. What reed do you use in this video? Good video :-))

      They aren’t very consistent but I still roll with Jazz select 4 soft. Maybe I was on 3 med in this video. Thanks so very much. I agree.

      Symph? Like symphonic orchestra? I always just played a Selmer C*. I have been mainly playing jumbo Java and Syos. The Syos can have more attitude, the thing I like about that mouthpiece is it pretty much projects whatever you put in

    What reed are you using on them. Enjoy your ability to draw on different styles. I had them when they first came out in a green ebonite. And Vandoren is bringing that color out again.

      My pleasure! It’s a 7*. Pretty expensive mouthpiece but gets a great sound. I eventually ended up going with Syos Where I could get something similar but at a cheaper cost

      Thanks so very much! I skipped around a bit after this video. I actually played the giant for 5 months, switched back to Jodyjazz HR then Vandoren Jumbo Java and now I’m with Syos. The cool thing with Syos is you can make any mouthpiece you like

    Hello, i've really enjoyed listening you in various styles :) Would you recommend t45 to someone who is switching from alto to tenor? (playing alto for about 3 years on a size 7 theo wanne piece). I am looking for a cheap, reliable and versatile mouthpiece but i guess 75 and 95 would be too open for me. Thank you

      t45 would be similar to like a size 5 mouthpiece for tenor. I would recommend the T 75 and may be going with like a size 2 1/2 reed maybe? T45 could be cool too so don’t let me deter you.

    i am planning on switching to dv also and I currently use a classical mouthpiece, do you think I will have trouble playing the dv? also do music center of hawaii have these in stock usually?

      They actually done keep those in stock. If switching from classical I would HIGHLY recommend the JodyJazz Hr! 🙌🏽💯. I played that for 6 years. Hawaii music center should have several of those

      Aw shucks! I played the giant for about eight months after this video then I switched over to the jumbo Java t75. I did a video on that as well. I generally play with a lot of loud guitarists, and drummers so I needed a freaking mouth cannon!

    The T 95 was the mouthpiece adopted by Bob Wilber as his favourite for playing on his vintage Conn Tenor and by Anti Sarpila his pupil but i found the aperture too wide for my embouchure .
