Good morning, I’m a video editor for Ciaopeople Media Group (www.ciaopeople.it), the italian publisher of Fanpage.it and Ohga, a new magazine about health, wellness, green vibes. I would like to achieve a videostory about the Mangalica (for our Facebook, Instagram and RUclips channels), because I think it could be exciting for all our readers. That’s why I’m asking your permission to use your video, crediting you. Let me know as soon as possible. Thanks in advance. Matteo De Micco

You can have an underground pipe to produce cool air intake for the summer. Then I was thinking if needed you could dig a hole in the middle to put a spiral pipe going down into the ground and coming up along the sunny wall where it could take warmth out of the wall and up like a chimney. This way in summer you could be taking excess heat underground whilst keeping it cool and in winter reconfigure so the cold air would sink down the pipe and bring back up the warmth from the summer.
I am working on a walipini :) Great job on the roof :)
great. Am very taken with the reciprocal roof design. so appalled by modern architects I see in the city I live in. The next home might be my last and best in certain ways. thanks for putting on this youtube. Great wallipini.
Hi Ben, is it possible to come and visit it?
Simply Canvas & Permaculture hey guys sorry for the late reply, yeah I think you are more than free to visit it, it is located in wageningen in the creative (community) garden, i dont know if you can send private messages through youtube but if you can send me your contact details so I can pass you the contacts of the guys now working there
Hi Ben, would be great, our contact is hello at simplypermaculture dot com. Many smiles Sandra
Hoi Ben (oh actually don't know if you are Dutch :)). Great stuff, would love to discuss more in detail. We wanted to build a walipini two years ago, but last minute decided against it. Since if you would follow the exact instructions with the number of degrees towards the wintersun, we would have had to build the roof at a 70 degrees angle. In the end after all the calculations, thought we would have way to much shade with the wintersun so the plants would just survive but not grow. Anyways, we are in SW France (www.simplypermaculture.com), but are in the NL for Christmas. If possible, would love to come and visit to see and hear how it is working. Many smiles Sandra & Santi
How did you dig it out without shoring up the walls?
The hole was already there, we had to dig it out a bit extra, used the soil to keep the plastic in place, see the new video for the latest version we have made
I hope you don't ever get any snow in your area, that shallow angle won't allow snow to slide off by gravity. Great looking walipini otherwise.
Snow is not usual or common where the walipini is located, but for snow heavy regions a different design is definitely a must
Looks like you've used an excellent, reinforced plastic this time. Wonderful work! Hoping for a wonderful harvest. I sure wish I had access to land to grow my food. Thanks for your videos.
Love the music , what's the name of the band ?.
A video review with no talking, how pleasant! Are you still happy with the mill, a year and a half down the road?
Where does the overflow of water goes? After much rain?
+Ljerka Svagel The greenhouse itself is situated on top of a hill so we never had ground water problems, however, at the end of season the plastic started to rip so we had enormous amounts of rainwater coming in, that was a big problem. That is why now that we have a new roof we hopefully wont have any of those problems anymore. There will be a video of the new greenhouse (but without plants, it's december!) up soon
Thank you. Thought so, but wasn't sure. Looking forward to your new video.
Ben Green ¿Cortaste un árbol para hacer tu walipini? Mal, muy mal
it was already cut, we re-used it ;)
I'm the only comment really, listen I believe that this channel has great videos and potential this man deserves much more views an subscribers this is not a troll comment but a sincere and honest comment and critique
Hi Ben, great video. What did you use to edit this? And what font is that? Thanks
+evr505 Hi Evr505, thanks! I used cyberlink power director, the font I do not recall anymore it is was not available in cyberlink from the package so I got it somewhere from the internet
why do u need so much mint ? O.o Thanks
strong roots keep the soil together, and reduces the need for weeding the edges
Cool! The more I watch walipini videos the more I think I'll.be doing a lot of digging next spring!
Awesome video
