Han pasado 48 años del lanzamiento de este disco, eran muy buenos instrumentistas, y sigo pensando lo mismo que en 1976 cuando lo oi por primera vez, hay una distancia entre Hotel California , y las restantes canciones.

Gran trabajo de una de una banda salidas de Brasil: el trash metal en su máxima expresión y con toques terroríficos que definen su estilo. Su estilo es limpio y a la vez centrado en la fuerza del sonido. Es una lástima que no grabaran un disco en español (o en portugués) pero lo peor es que se fueran de Brasil para perder su esencia. Ya está: dejaron constancia que aquí se podía tocar y crear sin imitar de fuera. Después de 35 años, continúa vigente!

Great OLD Sepultura!

I got this album soon after it came out, recorded it onto a cassette and played it over and over on my new Walkman 😊 I got to know it off by heart and listening to it again now I still do, mostly ! I loved it and it really spoke to my unsettled spirit - living in the UK but longing for wide, open highways and big skies. ❤

Every listen reminds me of Middle School chorus competitions. Wandering the streets of unfamiliar Methlahoma college towns with a LaSonic 100 watt boombox blaring this album and all Metal cassettes from this era in 1985.

This was the anthem to the summer of 1992 for me and my friends. Every time I listen to it (my cassette is now obsolete), I'm reminded of the greatest summer of my life. Thanks for the upload.

I don't understand how you START the album with Hotel California... Like... who says "Let's put our best song right at the beginning, so that everything else will pale in comparison..."? You close an album out with Hotel California... I'll also never understand why the only part of the song with the punchy rich vocal harmony ("and still those voices are calling from far away") isn't the last lyric before hitting the guitar solos... That's like if The Beatles had thrown the "na na na" bits of Hey Jude in the middle... then sang one more verse... it just doesn't hit like it should...

I wish I would paid more attention to this band back in my high school times. It is my favorite now!

The very first song Hotel California is, of course, a timeless masterpiece, but all the rest of the material is rather mediocre and inexpressive and does not catch on at all... a band of one masterpiece.
