Correction lang. Paano nya na indicate in cardinal point yung Nasa Starboard beam na vessel. Cadet: Container Vessel Sighted 1 point forward on the starboard beam with the same direction sir!. Bakit May mali. Correction: Container Vessel sighted Broad on the starboard beam with the same direction sir!.
He reports the observed vessel in relative bearings which is seen 1 point forward on the starboard beam, not in cardinal points (North, East, South or West). Example of expressing relative bearings: 1 point on the starboard bow, 2 points on the starboard bow, broad on the starboard bow, etc). 1 point forward on the starboard beam is a relative direction of 7 points from the north.
Sir good pm. Paano po mag steady?. Kung example nag stbd 10 oh 20 siya.. babalik ba yan muna mid ship bago isteady..
When the last helm order is starboard 10 or 20 and a new given helm order is "steady", immediately apply a counter rudder as rapidly as possible to reduce/stop any swing of the ship and steer a steady course on the compass heading indicated at the time of the order.
