As you can see, don't try this at home 😯
This is not worth the hassle after buying all the tools and labor it makes no sense
Now you need to balance the tires, you're bending the ring
Being cheap do it yourself cost lots of money, tools+times+efforts. 👎😪 🤜🤜🤜🤜🤜💥💥💥💥💥 Just take it to a tire shop for $20.
Just buy the sensors then take to a tyre service to do the rest
Last time I took the car to the shop, they wanted $179 for 1 sensor replacement and it wasn't even at the volvo dealer, I do many repairs myself but this tool looks dangerous, I wish it was a better way to do this, sadly isn't.
This is bull shit tool do not belive it do not try it u will damage ur tyre or the wheel and ur self
The skin of the fruit turns red It does not mean the fruit is ripple, after installing the sensor you still have to program to make the sensor work with signal receiver in side the computer...on most cars.....
god bless wv and Honda for using indirect measuring
What happened to the relearn procedure 😂
How did you balance the wheel ?
If you are using this tool you don’t need balance you didn’t remove the wheel of the tire and mark tire to wheel orientation to make sure it doesn’t rotate
@@GedionYem-ye2pg The TPS weigh exactly the same ?
let pro do it properly than damaging your rims.
Nope, I'll pay the $20 for the tire guy to do it.
U forget to mention it isn't going to work till you get very expensive Scanner tool to read and identify the brand of NEW sensor then map to the car, so it knows it their otherwise it isn't going work. just pay tire guy to do it,
how often is this guy replacing TPMS sensors? I still have my original ones in both my cars, and one is a 2014.
i can hear the rim screaming in pain
Probably be quicker to take tire off completely, it would be a lot easier to remove valve
I saw this one on Amazon. Do you if there is one for Toyota cars?
Me after the first attempt: Hello?? AAA
tape of dash light till u can get new tires
Beadbuster XB-455 is currently $95 from Amazon.
Damage 1 wheel and you can buy a whole box of TPMS devices at 12 bucks each. I see that tool breaking wheel flanges, if not damaging enough to fail later at speed.
If you really think it’s easy to bust the softer rubber tire than to break an alloy rim and with slow force and proper lubricants you can easily slid the rubber tire off the rim , create a small opening between the tire and the rim to get the lubricant get through
Awesome ‘DO It Yourself’ video sir! The TPMS light drives me insane on my 2011 car. One sensor needs to be replaced so I’m have to order the part online & convince a tire shop to install it cheaply. Ha!
You can do it!
Simple solution is just removed the useless things and replace with a standard value. 👍
You got it
Simple solution is just removed the useless things and replace with a standard value. 👍
In todays modern car tyre pressure sensor plays a vital role on monitoring and alerting the driver also properly inflated tire help increase fuel efficiency and reduce risk of tire blow about and accident caused by over or under inflated tire Increases tire life and safety of the driver
Why did you need to take the car to the gas station for air when you already have an air compressor?
That’s was done before bringing the car to my place we were checking if the light was on due to low tire pressure but edited on the end
If your going with an after-market or OEM tpms sensor...you have to reprogram the tpms sensors...
That’s depending on the manufacturer instruction ,different model and make cars have different procedures always refer to the manufacturer manual
My late husband would just run on the rims (no tires) and be done with all this silliness.......
Sorry for your loss
This tool cost $120 on Amazon
XB 455 at $99 on Amazone
Comment section full of highly trained Automotive Service Technicians i see.
That’s great , different ideas and opinions will help us understand more
Doing this way there might be a chance of leaking the air later
Done many tire sensors replacement no issues so far
So how much the tool cost sir?
Check description XB 455 is $70 to$99 depending on where you look
Widowmaker tool right there. Damage to the sidewall !!! whoever thought that was a good design needs to retire & fast before they cause a string of blow outs.
It's not going to damage the sidewall. With a name like Automan you'd think you would know that.
@@KBLIZZ333 it should have a much wider foot pushing on the sidewall on the bead and where it meets the sidewall/tread area. I dare you to show that tool to every tire mfg and let me know what they tell you.
@@automan1223 You ever used or seen a tire machine at a repair shop? Those professional machines are a lot more violent to a tire than this thing ever could be. My 27 years in automotive repair industry I've used a ton of different methods and machines to do tires and in my opinion this thing isn't going to damage a tire (if used properly of course)
@@KBLIZZ333 Yes own a shop, had at one point 3 tire machines from an old coats 4040 to a modern rim clamp. I stand by my original statements.
I have used it multiple times used properly and follow safety rules ,every time work perfectly and I have not seen damage on the tip or threads
Those sensor are useless....
Get original sensor on Amazon for less than $25 each
This is not going to work on most cars. Its very rare to have a modern car with tires that have such a large flexible sidewall. If you have aluminum wheels, you need to be OK with scratching them, if you can even get the bead far enough away from the rim to actually replace the sensor. Also, you'll need to know how to put the TPMS system into learn mode and program the new sensor. Every car has a different procedure. The car in the video was chosen to make it look easy.
yeah not to mention the tire is now not balanced the sensor he removed different in size and probably just enough weight to make wheel vibrate at highway speed i totally agree with you
This would be a great video if you included a link for the bead breaker
You can fine on eBay and Amazon’s XB-455 beadbuster
@@GedionYem-ye2pg I agree, This would be a great video if they included a link for the bead breaker
@@MikeJordanUnCamplicated @2:10 The brand and part # is plain as day. Take some initiative.
Wish you would put the link to that tool you use to push the tire back from the rim. 🤔
its called "bead braker"
Beadbuster XB-455
Most places will charge at the least...$25....then the part itself...then balance fee as well...
I agree , if you are comfortable on doing it it save lots of time and money and you don’t need to do a balance
You only left out one thing, the sensor serial number must be programmed into the ECM / PCM so it will be recognized or it will not work
One certain cars you need a serial numbers programmed and on some that can be done when you program ,also some come preprogrammed and by inflating and deflating the tire the sensor get activated ,I have posted to easy reset and program TPMS
What is that till called and where can I find it?
Beadbuster XB-455 Amazon or eBay
Take it to a shop. Pay for the sensor and tire mount and balancing. You get more life out of the sensor. , more life out of ur tire and less bullshit
Your audio is awful I can’t watch
Sorry I will try my best
I will pay for the service. There is a high chance of rim damaged using that tool. You should also balance the tire after the part is replaced.
Throw it in the garbage and delete the code!
How to damage wheel & tyre !
Incorrect sir.
Spending 50 dollars for only that tool when a garage will proberly charge 10 dollars for the job makes no sense at all.Not to mention the cost of the valve puller ,tyre pump and compressor .
Videos like these are the reason why the professionals of every trade gets undermined ! Can you also show us next time how to perform heart surgery on your next video.
Professionals get undermined because it costs too much!! $200 - 250 for a TPMS is quite steep for the amount of work involved
I agree with you I have seen a charge up to $800 for 4 sensors but once you see how easily it can be done That make a difference
Today portable hand held tools do amazing jobs compared to old huge machines ; you may have used battery powered power tools like makita, Milwaukee and noticed .portability, ease of use ,cost, effectiveness reliability precision versatility and safety …………make models hand held tools preferable by professional and DIY enthusiasts . for your info a robot and remotely located specialist preforming heart surgery, some day we may have DIY to preform a bypass . Cheers
Cheaper to take the tire to the shop.
I only can agree!
This is to give some ideas may not work for everyone but seeing how it work and how it’s done is really helpful
Most of the time you have to reset the new sensor s radio signal to the car which requires a tool that auto shops have
On my mazda it's self programming if you replace it with an oem sensor
You can buy those tire pressure reset tools online for as low as $10 check Amazon or ebay
Better yet just disable tpms in the pcm and then replace with regular shraders
