I can remember it like it was yesterday. I'm a kid at my grandparents house, early 1999. I just got the Gameboy Color for Christmas, and I'm booting up Pokemon Red. I'm laying on their L shaped couch, a can of Sour Cream & Onion Pringles at my side as this theme kicks in. Not a single care in the world, a world nowhere near as dark and dreadful as it is today... Take me back.

I dont know why but I love gen 5's low-poly 3d models of Reshiram, Zekrom, and the Kyurems. They just looked so much better than our current 3d models of the same pokemon. Maybe its the translucent materials on them, or the shading and colors, or just how sharp and surreal they looked, but they seemed more realistic to me than our current ones.

Truth, and Ideals. White, and Black. Resiram, and Zekrom. I didn’t understand them. I made no attempt to understand N, either. Not until the end.
