Yes, of course. My car was parked in the street in front of my house here in Southern California just outside of Los Angeles.

The longest ride I’ve ever taken it on is an all day long trip from my house to the Santa Monica Pier and up to Ventura and back which was about 300 miles. I had plenty of storage on the back of my bike with my travel bag, and I have an upgraded seat from the stock seat, so it’s more cushier and comfortable for the longer rides. It has a 2.9 gallon tank and approximately 45 mile to the gallon gas consumption. So that’s the longest ride I’ve ever taken, and I had no problem at all up and down highway one here in California. The bike has a lot of get up and go, and it’s pretty nimble because of its size. I hope in the near future to be taking much longer rides on it for extended periods of time, and I think it’ll be more a matter of what kind of storage I use on the bike to hold all my necessities. What I have now is good for day long rides. I am very happy with my bike. I hope that helps!

I tend to stay in first gear while at lights. It is pretty rare that I will sit there in neutral. In case something happens, I’d rather not waste the time it takes to recognize a problem, shift into gear and react. But that’s just me. I’ve seen plenty of people who prefer to sit in neutral at lights.

I don’t know about other dealerships and car brands, but with a Ford, everyone who custom ordered for the 2024s did not have to put a single penny down for their car. You just custom ordered it, placed the order with your sales guy at the dealership, and waited for the car to come in. My son has been a Mustang fan since he was a little kid and he followed all the news on the manufacturing and sale of the 2024s which are going to be the last V8 engine that they sell. They announced back in the spring the date that custom orders would start to be taken, and he waited patiently, building his car on the website, and then, when the date came, he had already been down to the dealership and met his salesman, and had it all ready to push the send button. This red one had the exact same package that he had ordered. It had just two extra things on it from the other customer, including the color. But yeah. As crazy as it sounds, no money was put down until the day we walked into the dealership and made the purchase. He had been saving for a very long time, so he had a substantial down payment to mitigate the debt he was going into.🙂

Oh, and another thing that was a benefit from custom ordering. There was no markup on the car. Everyone who custom ordered got the MSRP. All the cars that are coming in that are going straight to the lot, not custom ordered, will get marked up $6000-$12,000. They could have done that with my son’s red car, but they decided since he was swapping out one order for the other, they wouldn’t subject this purchase to a markup. It was a sweet deal all around.😊

The Customer backed out of his order and decided he couldn’t afford it. All of the salesman were calling their own customers, inviting them down for a chance at the car. And with my son’s custom order, it will go on the lot and it will get scooped up just like every one of their brand new 2024s are getting scooped up right now. There has been no foul play in the making of this deal. You’re probably not familiar with how car sales work. Anyone can custom order, you’re not forced to take the one you ordered. The dealer knows they’ll be able to sell it. If they weren’t able to do that, they wouldn’t turn around and offer a car that was backed out on to someone they knew had a custom order coming in. It’s all just part of the car business.

Absolutely! They’re still beautiful. The only complaint I have is when I get my chain serviced, for the first couple days the grease that was used to lubricate it flicks onto the left side of my back tire and streaks it with small streaks of black. So it needs a good washing a couple times for a week or so to take away the streaks. Other than that, perfection! 😊

I know! And the irony is that I had just finished a day long class instruction on bike safety, low speed maneuvers, and emergency braking and obstacle avoidance. They didn’t have a topic called “stupid shit you shouldn’t do. The art of paying attention.”😂😂😂
