St.Patty's Day Festival 3/19/05
The Truckers played "Sinkhole" in front of a bank. That's making a statement.
I love how this is such a fan recording, one did this for us all for a long time to play. Not to mention great time stamp for the band.
How has then been downloaded for 10 years and only this many views!!!! Nice recording. Thanks
Cooley is the worst singer of all time,I can't stand this old boring fart
Best live performance of them ive seen. Peak DBT
This whole band kicked ass. Saw them a bunch of times in Seattle. Isabell doesn't have the same fire without them.
DBT died after Isbell
😂😂 that’s gotta be sarcastic!
Bass player has a dandy body on her
Lookout Mountain is probably my favorite song to see them perform live just for the heavy groove, even though I pretty much don't have a favorite DBT song. Anyway, it's funny to see it as an opener.. This is my favorite DBT lineup, but both Jason and DBT have evolved really well since Jason "left." They're still two of the best shows out there today.
What became of Isbell?
😂
Sweet
Ireland loves you, DBT !
I have huge faith in these guys. Fuckin heroes. Playing at an empty shopping mall to no people. Still fuckin killed it!
Blistering.. One of the best live bands!
I'm glad I checked the set list and realized that there is a part 2! 😎
Holy hell this has been on my iPod for well over 15 years but never knew there was footage of the show until today! (5/18/23) And they say day drinking is bad! Phooey! Thanks so much for sharing though, this is seriously fucking awesome to be able to watch, I’ll buy you a beer for sure at any future Rock Show
The lady on the bass (sorry, not sure of the name) is Jason's first wife, right? Edit-- Shonna Tucker. And yes. I can imagine it got pretty messy at the end before Jay got his P45.. At least it's amicable now and I reckon it would've happened sooner or later, but damn.. The sound here is immense! Great job Roadies and sound engineers/mixers.
Roadie's doing a hell of a job.
Don't spill your whiskey drink your whiskey
What guitar is Jason playing in sink hole? A Bax?
Cooley in the corner
This crowd is pure ATL. 3 fans and 300 troglodites
One of the greatest bands
Agreed , the best time period is 05 and 06 for them hands down.
This is my dad’s channel 😅
What is my dad
30 seconds into the first song and Isbell is already bending strings; by 50 seconds in (@ 1:55) he's ripping. And obviously keeping their daydrinking to just one or maybe twenty drinks before the gig. I came late to DBT and didn't realize how good the live shows from this iteration are. This is fucking gold.
Agree, this is DBT in their prime.
I know he is so damn good at lead, but these days he mostly sticks to rhythm and songwriting and he's so damn good at that too.
The "Late Night" Johnny Neff era was the best. The handle of liquor on the stage era.
I live in Athens, 2001-2005 they were amazing
Their prime is now i believe @@Conjugate-Match
This is the best DBT lineup by far. Isbell, Shonna.. It's just perfect this way
Back in the good old daze. They were on fire back then.
wow just that first song, what a cool act they have! I like that they're focused on the vibe and the songs rather than trying to dress real pretty and play up for the high-end crowd. Flanking the lead singer with duel guitarists/background vocalists makes for a nice dynamic. And then the badass bass chick just attending to business, holding down the low end.
The bass girls name is Shonna tucker she was married to Jason isbell guitarist all the way to the left but they are now divorced
i love mike cooley
anyone have the set list for this?
16 morons gave this a thumbs down.
all killer, no filler, the good old days. My first show was Bonnaroo '04 with a headfull and I had to sit down, haha. That was the loudest show I've ever seen and I could feel the sound trying to knock me down and it was AWESOME.
I'm gonna say this is the rural American Beatles
are you kidding? these guys are much better than the beatles could of ever been!
@@The93ssfd i need what you’re smoking
Perfection
Nothing better than this dbt lineup
Before they got all BLM on me.........kidding......they've always been like that
I was there! Thanks for posting this one!
Shonna really likes bending over looking at that amp i must say. Eye candy.
OK, that guitar is suspiciously like Johnny Winter's favorite guitar... nice choice, Isbell...
Man. Isbell really could make that JCM 900 cook.
Definately my favorite period of the band, & the sound is great! Thanks for posting
2:10-2:45 is the most rock and roll shit i've ever seen
Simply spectacular
you can tell they all hit big ass gagger rails and smashed shots as they walked out on stage..
Acoustic playin' they're a no limits trucker down the highway but electric they're a allroad monster trucker
Glad he got a decent lead guitarist after the early days ...this guy was to much of a chicken picker🤔
Chavo Bass Browan Loller is the greatest guitarist Jason ever had in the band. A childhood friend he’d played with forever and helped form the 400 unit when Jason left the Truckers. Also, nobody has ever harmonized with Jason better except his wife. Jason didn’t get rid of Browan, he left to start St Paul and the broken bones.
ChefRobert Dammit 😂
Chris F so we disagree on guitar ability. But you’re still wrong 🤪
@@TheRobsam I think Chad Gamble's brother is in St. Paul and the Broken Bones as well....
I'm sorry, but Browan is amazing.
He's great .. but STILL HAVENT GOT THE LIONS TO THE PKAYOFFS YET!! CMON MAN,!
Man I miss this time of DBT, they were so much stronger with Isbell. Glad he's doing well. I think Elephant, cover me up, traveling alone, super 8, and Yvette, are some of the best songs he's written.
@@andrewblanton5397 The Truckers were on another level from 2000 to 2005, even BEFORE Isbell joined. Isbell wasn’t on Southern Rock Opera, and those are some of their greatest songs. Decoration Day and The Dirty South made it so The Truckers had 3 masterworks in a row. They were up there with the greatest bands of their day. Everything after that is just a bonus. And it was nice to see Jason clean up and continue forward. I always assumed he left to start a solo career, but I found out a couple years back that he was fired. At first, they wanted him to take a break to get clean, but then they fired him. And I’m glad that they’ve stayed friends. Cooley-Hood-Isbell-Tucker-Morgan --- this was their best incarnation.
@@wildmercuryfilms While I respect the gentlemen in the DBT, their sound is not designed for my palate. Wish them all the best!
е
@@andrewblanton5397 pray for you? Whatever. Saw the band in Isbell era. Saw them last fall. Still fucking awesome.
@@arthurdietrich They were awesome then, only pretty good now.
