Just when I THOUGHT I'd found the Traveling At Full Moon Mix :( -- the only mix I own on vinyl - never had the original. This cut was played for years in the Los Angeles underground and I played it quite a bit.

I wonder if this was created out of stone in focus or vice versa. The chords are exactly the same and it's in the same key.

Lovely.... I have the 1969 album Afro Jazz. For us drummers it is good to trace the roots of drumming mostly back to Africa, Spain (close geographically) Cuba and South America. Other influences also from the middle east.

Great track. Sounds even better slowed down a little. The bass is so sick!

And sadly, pretty much forgotten in the annals of great jazz drummers. Max Roach and Tony Allen both owe their unique polyrythmic and tom-tom approach to drumming from this great Ghanaian master drummer and percussionist.
