Finally, this addon is free now???!!! I'll try this soon!
@@cg.man_aka_kevin Huh!? Nope, it’s not free sorry. I’m not sure where you heard it is. There’s a free add-on on the page called Render Rigs which is available for free maybe you mean that one?
I wonder if there is a function in the addon that can center the bones into the mesh after converting from edges? Maybe a Normalization Offset| Shrink/Fatten Offset for the lazybones addon to get the bones to fit directly into the mesh? P.S. Idea for offset, after making the converted edges bones, keep the first selected edges, then select the second row of edges opposite of the first selected edges, sort of like how you would bridge the edges, but using the difference between the two edge sets to offset/blend the bone positions. This would have to be before the bone amount/density/direction function is used, to stay within between the original edge count and the bone amount so then blender can calculate the offset between two edge sets. Might sound confusing, but did my best to explain.
That's exactly something I've been looking into! I haven't fully worked out the kinks yet but it's hopefully one of the features for the update.
@@BlueNile3d Awesome!
Shouldn't this be added as a feature on the addon? You know, the automatic selection of non interpolating meshes and grouping of them in order for the simulation to go smoothly
Very true dude! I'll put this on the list of 'to dos' for the next update. Thank you!
500%, not 500x 😁
Oooh, is this based on the geometry nodes that one dude posted on Reddit? I had something like this in mind ever since but couldn't even get the "shrinking" to work in 4.0+ haha. Glad to see someone made use of it, looks fantastic! I'm not in the best financial situation right now but I think I'll be getting this one as soon as I'm able. Now, if only weight painting was easier. 😅
If you're taking about Higgsas, then yes! It's based on the shrinking sim he shared on Blender Artists ~ and some of the addon sales go towards him sinnce he inspired and helped so much. Weight painting sucks...it's not cheap but if you can ever save enough to get the voxel heat addon it's amazing. I use it a lot for characters with clothing, jewelry, accessories, etc because I haaaaate weight painting.
Mate, this thing IS GENIUS!
Awww dude thank you so much!
Whats the name of the first song? Cool vid by the way may consider getting lazy bones
Thanks dude! It's Beijaflor by Quincas Moreira. I was worried it would make people sleepy, it's so chill.
Hey mate are you available for professional consultation? Love your work!
Thank you much dude! I'm possibly available. It depends on the project and time etc. Do you have twitter? You can send me a DM on there if you want.
das what papyrus calls his brother
I haven't tried the addon myself, but it's truly a smart way of thinking about solving a rig. It's fascinating. Congratulations on such innovative work!
Thanks so much dude! A lot of the simulation results is down to the knowledge and help of Higgsas. You should totally check out their nodes/tools etc
@@BlueNile3d Yes, the node pack it’s great, I bought it a month ago, congratulations again on the addon, greetings!
incredible work mate i purchased cuz i see great potential in this.
Thanks dude, and potential~wise true, true, true...for the truly adventurous you can even use the sim for animations not just rigging.
@@BlueNile3d Also i checked out your other videos and products, bit over my head but so dope
@@sudabadri7051 Thanks dude!
Oh this is cool! But I suspect it probably wont be making very emotive face rigs. Shame, thats the one thing I could really still use the help for <.<
For faces/hands etc: it's better to just select edges on your mesh and directly convert them to bones. Like this: ruclips.net/video/OQIvxjy-vvc/видео.htmlsi=MlkTbOp2xpi9xRQ_
Saw that one the site, really seems like a useful tool^^ Still doesnt really help me with making faces work, but the next time I gotta rig a dragon I know what to pick up
@@fast-yi9js Cheers man, I'll be ya dragon man no problemo. For faces the addon Faceit is really nice if you haven't checked it out yet.
This looks sick!
Thanks dude!
Alright, I'm curious.
Brutal Hermano!!!!! Buenisimo, mas como este
¡Gracias amigo! Espero que os guste
Normals are always at the root of abnormal problems in computer graphics!
Dude, this is an amazing plugin so we can convert a high poly object to a low poly object, right?
Thanks dude! If you convert high poly to low poly the simulation will be much faster.
@@BlueNile3d buddy, I want to buy your plugin, but since I live in Turkey, I'm getting into trouble because of the dollar exchange rate effect, is there any possibility that you can do me a favor and sell it at half price? I really want to use a plugin that will really help me a lot.
@@Zeatrex Hey dude, sorry about that. In May Blender Market will have their Spring Sale and it will be discounted. Other than that, once I get my VPN sorted (I'm in China) I'll be able to upload it to Gumroad and Country specific discounting will exist.
what a neat addon!!❤
Thanks dude!
Hi there, I sent you an email, wish to chat with you soon! Good tool btw!
Might another approach be to first separate the branshes and the trunk into 2 objects, then simulating them separately. And afterwards re-join the two bone groups into one? EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the other video where you took that approach. Curious still, if it would be more effective in this case?
Totally dude! I only did it this way because I didn't know how the simulation would turn out while I was recording.
Very clever and well done. Many use cases for this. Thanks for sharing. And fantastic music choice too.
Thanks DeGrey! I hope you find it helpful
that's cool!
Thanks Viz! I'd like to do more workflow examples in the future too
So good! I also like your choice for music to showcase the tool.
Thank you so much dude!
exactly my cup of tea, thx!
Very welcome my dude! Hopefully more to come soon
Thanks Man!! Easy to follow tutorial.
Thanks dude! - I was hoping it's not too slow/long but then I hate quick-edit click baity stuff
Ha! I was going to follow up my question about your panel generator with the setup for how you did the armor but it looks like I may be able to figure it out from this video! Your channel is a goldmine friend!
Thank you! Yeah the armor generator basis is super simple - just deleting faces based on image textures - creating duplicate shells and changing the mapping for each shell. But my nodetree is an absolute gigantic mess cause I have a bunch of personal extras so a tutorial on that one is going to take a while.
For anyone else looking for solutions - resident Blenderartists node wizard Zeroskilz shared some good stuff: blenderartists.org/t/recreating-laplacian-smoothing-in-geometry-nodes/1515650
Very cool idea and add-on!
Thank you dude!
Thank you for the training video! It makes it very easy!
Cheers Sarah! I checked out some of your experiments and makings - awesome! Especially the thermal and X ray stuff. Really cool
