i can see two things with this truck that are not right most people never spot. 1 the spare tire on the side was only an option in 53 and up. 2 the parking break is supposed to be operated by hand. im not 100% sure if this truck has the parts for it available on the market but i think a lot of catalogs out there that might sell that part. besides those two things this is a good original looking truck. i cant remember if the paint job this truck has was available at that time stock or not.

Hi Dave, I moved to Texas to escape big brother government. It is here also, higher property taxes, more regulation. They complained and made me move an old car and cover the pool? Remember the old days we would not have even become earners or taxpayers if there was this much regulation. These are the same people at the courthouse who would call you if there coffee makers did not work, miss ya buddy, good luck, call plenty of good land in Texas where you cant be harassed.

@sky1627, This number is a current registered race number for vintage series racing, its a Full Competition Cobra,. In 1966 the original number was 6. but it is now 7. Original FC Cars numbers aren't something that an owner can customize if they still race them unless it is entered in current races, even if they don't, changing it devalues the car, as the car is fully documented in the Carol Shelby Cobra registry as a competition car. True FC cobras value from $800 000 - $2.5 mil.

@itsbusinessbaby: It is quite common, the larger side oiler engines run quite rich, however some owners are starting to run them on propane and other fuels now, not as smelly! Originals can't run on propane though as they were built in a time where leaded gas was the norm, now they Either have to run on High octane race fuel or premium gasoline! Genesis ford engines ( true reproduction side oilers) can run on almost anything now some types of bio fuel, propane, so they usually aren't as smelly.

True Original FC cobra 1/ 21 ever built! Set lap record at Watkins Glenn in 1966, CSX 3016. saw a 1 hour documentary on that car. Absolutely Astounding car! trust me the other sound at the end of the documentary is a civic or something. It is the original side oiler medium riser FE engine and if the film wasn't ruined by the other exhaust notes from background cars you would hear its low undertone. It's Anthony Brousalla's car!
