I'm 40, living in the UK and remember my childhood days in Suva, this festival etc like yesterday... ....because they were the greatest moments of my life. Sitiveni Raboci destroyed alot of future memories and dreams. Today my kids are naturalized English kids and I know things like the hibiscus would have been amazing for them and their own memories. such is life.

More like public march. Too many people just wandering along with the floats. Never used to be like that in 60s,70s,80s, or 90s. Only marching bands, marching girls and floats were allowed on the road. If you marched you had to be entertaining the crowds not just wandering along. And the floats were more interesting, the good old days gone for good....
