If you want to make the story the least bit realistic you should get the details right.

I'm listening to the Bridge of Kindness on our US Presidential Election Day in 2024. I am now 78 & have noticed for years the change in our government & our politics. As I was growing up I saw there were differenent parties that believed differntly, but still made an effort to mutually respect each other. Also the politicians from all parties worked together to do what was best for all Americans and for the entire United States of America not just their own party.
