What time was it when you went out there?

Man I grew up in the north Austin area and used to go to this mall all the time. It’s really changed since I’ve left Texas. Doesn’t look as lively as it used to, sad to see but I guess malls are becoming less needed.

It’s not abandoned at all, they have live music there all the time! All of those spots are music venues come 8PM. Go back on a Friday at night and it is always packed!

So sad, born in Atlanta. I remember going to underground as a child. Now that I’m old, why not give it back to senior Atlantans homes. A community we can live in peace and history

I used to come here fairly regularly, and my wife and I watched either a solar or lunar eclipse from the parking lot years ago before we got married. Good times.

I've been here a few times. It's a nice place!

I go here with my kids fairly regularly and they usually have a blast! A few times we even found an abandoned kid cart somewhere in the mall and got in and walked all around. Good times.

I haven't been to Lakeline since I was a student at UT in the late nineties (in the before-time, apparently). I was in town recently and wanted to see it just to revisit old memories but I just couldn't make it. It's so quiet. I remember when this and every other mall was super busy. I remember Highland, which is now gone... Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

The "news" would report any crime that happened within a dozen blocks of there as "near Underground", so it got an undeserved reputation for being dangerous, since the suburbanites let the TV tell them about the city instead of coming here to see for themselves.

I used to go to the mall with my cousins and sister when we were little. My grandma would drop us off and we’d have the time of our life. Haven’t been in 15 years and was craving some nostalgia. It looks so different. No more town in the food court.. and I remember there was a fish. Breaks my heart a bit.

Looks like padded walls at an insane asylum and I’m sure repairs are going to be a pain in the ass for something that cost the same price as a regular house

Everything looks good except the metal roofs; they create too much heat, creating a heat island in the atmosphere. They're not good for global warming mitigation. Metal roofs should be banned.

When you have all the printers to produce each material you'll be the equivalent of a billionaire you can crowd source the purchase of these printers and it will make everything for you at cost of raw materials this contractor is just using one material printer for one material the rest is purchased retail that's why it's so stupid expensive to gimmick a test of concept keep going look to the best printer designs and crowdsource their purchase any material and epart in any assembly at cost of raw materials you'll all be billionaire equivalents the model is repeatable. I like the more consistent and regular bead layer of concrete with the ICON 3D printer. Looks a lot more finished and high grade.

This has been here all my life. My parents partied at the underground. I doubt it is costing ATL much. IT would make good space for anything Atlanta residents want to rent it for, a mall, bars, space they want to use.

Very annoying that they promised a low cost housing solution.
