Weikav Lucky65 Stock vs. Modded Soundtest
Keyboard:
Lucky65
Switch:
Hyacinth V2u (Stock)
Mods done:
Tape mod (2x)
Polyfill mod
All foams except case foam
Stock Stabs
Conclusion:
For me the ease of modding this board makes it a good choice for beginners who wants to start experimenting3 mods. The stock sound is actually not bad considering the price point, to me you can just use this in its stock configuration put some switches/keycaps and you are all set.
I actually tried having the tape mod and the stock case foam as a config but I find it too tight to close since the bottom case don't have that much of space so I didn't risked screwing it out with force. My guess is you can still make that one work but I opted out on going with the polyfi...

VERTEX V1 Stock vs. Lubed Comparison (is it worth it?)
Просмотров 8249 месяцев назад
Review: For me lubing is not necessary for this switch since the factory-lube is decent enough. Tbh, it won't be night and day in terms of smoothness and it also sounded the same but for me it made it feel fuller/crisp. Modifiers felt way better once lubed. The game changer is the 22mm 2-stage springs which brought more out of this switch, it made the V1 snappy and lively to type on. In my opin...

i also have this board and switches. it sounds so nice, but rgb is blocked by vertex v1s
Does it block RGB entirely or just a small amount?
its like a big amount. barely visible
@@tran-st can u suggest any switch preferably for gaming w good rgb? Ik its all preference but im kinda new and i heard actuation force and travel distance can affect performance. Thank you!
also preferably with good sound like the vertex v1s
im also looking for something similar myself lol. you have the same board, right? i think hmx evas are our best shot. i dont have them yet, but from youtube videos i think its the closest
can you try no IXPE + PET? I want to hear it reach the higher part of the spectrum, thanks
Which one feels better?
the sound is wow.
How would you compare the sound with an FR4 plate versus the stock PP plate?
Is this vertex v1?
@@Oveey Yes!
@@Typerist did u mod it?
It's not modded at all, right?
Just added tape mod to the board and the switches are factory lubed.
I want to ask one more thing, is the Leobog Hi75 board already modded when you buy it from an online store?
@@pemudaaafisabilillah892 It came in packed with the sound dampening and modifying foams so I gotta say the stock config is really good. But the tape mod was done manually by me
😂 oh mein Gott, so eine Tastatur würde bei mir in den Müll fliegen, wenn diese laut wäre
I am using a relatively clacky/poppy switch so it will definitely be loud
wondering how about no foam sound profike be like
Ill be trying that soon! Stay tuned hope you enjoyed the vid :)
@@Typerist nice preciate your effort broo
@@Typerist just wanna let you know im still waiting
Can you able to use wireless mode?
Yep!
@@Typerist did you update the dongle firmware ?I have no luck
@@ozzracer you tried using the hot key?
@@Typerist which one is it?

Awesome content!
Nice one
pag di ako nanalo dinaya
Couldn't really tell the difference in terms of sound, but I'm pretty sure (and you already stated in the desc) that the typing feel is different. Btw, nice comparison!
@DadTech1981 The springs make the difference but having that longer spring kinda add a tiny bit wobble but not noticeable since the mold is optimized for the stock springs. Ill take the trade bec the typing feel got snappy. In terms of lubing it manually, i can say it got smoother but not by a whole lot. V1 can be used stock factory lube is good
@@Typerist very well explained my guy! Keep pumping videos
@@DadTech1981 Thanks brother!
@@Typerist 💯
The sound is absolutely amazing
My hi75 sounds way worse and it came factory lubed
@@Oveey What is the config, switches?
@@Typerist hi75, tapemod on the back of the pcb amazon keycaps and vertex v1
@@Oveey Take note that this soundtest uses microphones which represents the sound of a keyboard differently than real life. In real life this sounds muted. The Mic gets and emphasizes the lower tones..
@@Typeristoh but quick question what mods did u do
@@Oveey Try, PE foam mod, Tape mod, EVA/neoprene or poron foam mod. You will eventually find what you like.
Hello. What's bottom out on those 2stage springs? And do you recommend any seller for springs?
around 55 to 60g bec i don't prefer springs that are too light. I bought on a local ecommerce platform.
music to my ears <3 sir tatanong ko lang sa tape mod po ba pagkatanggal ng poron bottom foam sa pcb then tape mod hindi na po ba ibabalik yung foam? then yung pet pad then pcb (w/ tape mod) lang po ba matitira sa ilalim? any tips din po kung ano magandang tape gamitin (same board din po HI75)
Hello!
Do you record mic condenser not noise sound.
its a dynamic microphone
@@Typerist oh I use Condenser mic it very noise sound
Okay this is the thocc
Thank you!
What is switch ?
Vertex V1
nice keyboard ❤❤
Thanks!
My vertex v1 is coming soon my gmk67 already came
That will be dope!
@@Typerist i built my keyboard a few months ago and it sounds very good
Can you do this with the ws morandis, but with the keycaps in this video
Hi! Unfortunately i had sold my morandis. So i cannot compare it using the same keycaps. But as a context the V1 is better than morandis if you don't need rgb.
what would you recommend for the same sound as this but with rgb??@@Typerist
@EricWang-ny9pg I think the morandis is close, but this is deeper. Take note that the differences is not much and haven't tried the morandis on this set of keycaps, if you are on a budget you can go kang White's it is poppier than the 2 while being kinda deep sounding...
thank you. Ive trying to pick the right switches and have been looking for a month. My brain hurts lol @@Typerist
@@EricWang-ny9pg do you have the same board?
How to buy it pls show me a link
I just bought this on my local online shopping
I have WS quartz which might be comparable? the Morandi are hard to find and very expensive on ebay.
On my experience id rather get the quartz over the morandi. I tried them both the Morandi's tolerance is bad plus the springs are underwhelming. So for me you are better off the Quartz better tolerance and springs gives it a snappy feel. Plus it is cheaper so its a no brainer choice for me. I hope this helps!
@@Typerist the only advantage might be that it comes with led diffusers built in and most boards have south facing..
@jiwany but the transparent housing of the quartz does the job i think even better bec the whole switch lights up
@@Typerist yeah totally get ya. i do love quartz and i love water kings even more. i have them paired with white cerakeys and as you said its perfect for that. personally i like north facing LED in some situations as the RGB effect looks evenly diffused and not harshly in your face as square little LEDs.
f*ck ang creamy🤤
Lube name and link?

Hi. All stock or modded?
I added tape mod plus stock foams
whats the name of the keyboard

Did u get any interference on your cherry keycaps?
Im using long pole switches
@@Typerist so Faker matchas are long pole? Ok got it.
@@TheColby988 yep! glad i can help
how did the board flex that much 😅
I think the cushioning of the mouse pad made it look super flex. But all in all the gas67 has good flex but not the most flexible out there. I think its average

did you mod this keeb? pollyfill? tempest?
Just 3 layers of tempest and i did not include the included plate dampener
