Perhaps this should have been 2 separate episodes as Mr Cruel starts at around 48:00. The Mr Cruel episode is quite good but just a couple of things. 1/ Keith Robert Knight is alleged by 2 crime writers to be 6ft 4ins. That alone should just about rule him out (apart from M.O. being unsophisticated, one-dimensional and nothing like Mr Cruel). 2/ It’s a myth that all Mr Cruel incidents happened on school breaks. A Melbourne newspaper (17 April 2022) demonstrated that the 22 August 1987 crime happened during the middle of school term 3 on a weekend. The 3 July 1990 happened during a normal school week, on a Tuesday night, during school term 2. Interestingly, NONE of the 4 crime dates remotely suggest school employment (Christmas-New Year break; weekends, etc., when most people are away from work).
