@@djoleprolece4288 Well there are many schools of thoughts when it comes to the definition of 'Maya', but the essence of them all is that it is the illusion we create for ourselves, to identify with our identity, such as a name, a relationship, an object, etc and think that this is all there is, when the real truth is we are all connected to the universal consciousness, and we deny to see this.

Upon enquiry, the men told that they were his ancestors waiting for his son to be born, to be free from the curse. Hearing this, the sage started creating a woman of rare beauty and intelligence, with the most graceful parts of animals such as eyes of the deer etc. The name Lopamudra signifies the loss (lopa) that the animals suffered by giving their distinctive beauties (mudras). Agastya secretly introduced Lopamudra into the palace of the King of Vidarbha, and upon coming of age, he demanded her hand in marriage. Lopamudra agreed to marry him and left the King's palace for his hermitage. Together with her husband she is credited with spreading the fame of the Lalita sahasranama (the thousand names of the Divine Mother).

Despite Vibhisana's warnings, Ravana arrogantly sets Hanuman’s tail on fire. Hanuman escaped, burning Lanka in retaliation. Unable to capture him, Ravana sends Yama, the Hindu god of death, to subdue Hanuman. Ravana had imprisoned Yama using the Rudra Mantra, but Yama was powerless against Hanuman, who was a manifestation of Rudra. Hanuman enlarged his body, captured, and swallowed Yama. Immediately there was chaos in the universe. There was no death. Disorder broke out. Brahma then approached Hanuman and requested him to release Yama. Hanuman agreed to release Yama, provided Yama sits on the head of Ravana and brings his death soon. Yama agreed and Hanuman released him. Yama also gave the boon to Hanuman that Hanuman’s devotees will be able to overcome the fear of death.

Legend has it once Nara and Narayana, were undergoing severe penances at Badrinath in the Himalayas. Indra, who was always insecure about his position as the king of the gods, created intense rains and blazing fires to scare the rishis, but nothing could break their meditation. Finally Indra sent Kama, the god of love, who along with his entie entourage of apsaras visited Badrinath. They created spring in the cold forest, with flowers blooming, birds singing and the apsaras dancing. Seeing this, Narayana, placed a flower on his thigh, and a voluptuos nymph was born, whose charms far excelled those of the apsaras of Kama. Seeing this Indra apolozied and Urvashi was sent to live in the heavens.

You are wrong baby. Here is how sudarshan Chakra was bestowed by Shiva to Vishnu. One day vishnu worships shiva and tries to offer 1008 lotus to shiva. Lord vishnu finds only 1007 Lotus in the world that time. So he plucked his one of the eyes and tells Shiva that my eyes are as beautiful as lotus so please accept my offer . Then shiva opens his eyes as he is now pleased by Vishnu's offer . So Shiva gives the Sudarshan Chakra to Vishnu.

Follow more such stories on our socials : talesoftheindus.com/links/ Shakuni was born in Gandhar to King Subala. He had a deep devotion to Lord Shiva. His sister, Gandhari, was a manglik, which according to Hindu astrology, is believed to bring misfortune in marriages, even death, unless married to another manglik or a symbolic object first. Gandhari was initially married to a goat to nullify this effect before marrying Dhritarashtra, the blind prince of Hastinapur. Dhritarashtra learned of this incident later, and feeling deceived, imprisoned Gandhari's family and starved them to death. Before dying, King Subala requested Dhritarashtra to set Shakuni free, promising him that his son, in turn, would always take care of Dhritarashtra's sons. Shakuni, vengeful and cunning, used the bones of his father to create a dice. The dice, said to contain King Subala's soul, would only show the numbers that Shakuni wanted, whenever rolled. This was the same dice that was used in the infamous Game of Dice against the Pandavs.

It was once proposed at a meeting of the gods, that Varchas, the son of the lunar god Soma, take on the earthly form of Abhimanyu, and aid in the annihilation of evil men. Soma, who was unwilling to give up his son, accepted to their proposal only on the condition, that Varchas would come back to him once he became sixteen. Abhimanyu was born to Arjun and Subhadra, the sister of Krishna. During the exile of the Pandavs, Subhadra stayed in Dwaraka, where Abhimanyu received millitary education from his mamas, Krishna and Balram. Abhimanyu was one of only four warriors who knew the strategy for breaking into a chakravyuh, a formidable military structure, that resembled layers of several defensive walls. He learned this information while still inside his mother's womb.
