Its tough, disturbing the peace is what they use on surfers who are supposedly trespassing by walking on the beach or down the creek to get to the surf spot... Here in Michigan people destroy access to fishing spots, public boat launches and public right of ways... To appease angry home owners they tell us to leave or get charged with "disturbing the peace" this is western lower Michigan..... Caution should always be the word for dealing with folks like this I get it man I feel the same way I’m just talking about and the circumstances when it’s an older gentleman or older lady and they’re not making much sense. Having elderly relatives going through dementia or Alzheimer’s I’m not saying, give up your suspicion because you should never give up your position and there’s a very good reason for that because too many people give up water this public like that then which end up as you can’t fish, your river, because some entitled person has the money and the means to go to court or get a bunch of lobbyist and try to pass bills and tournaments laws so always fight for your right to fish.
