Thankyou, copy you
My mother gifted me some high end Cintronella smokers used for bugs. Wire basket about the size of a solo cup. Thos gives me hope I can use them, and move them since they have spikes that stand in the soil.
How is the keiki doing now?
Hello Hawaiiplants, They are full-grown plants now. They are all putting new keikis.
@@teresascorner994 Wow! That’s great. I have a few keikis I’m trying to grow. 💖
I love this place so much! ❤
Me too! I love all the arrangements! They are very talented.
@@teresascorner994 Yes, I was traveling and I could only choose one, that was so hard!!😃
It’s nice seeing that you’re doing great. Lots of Love ~Serrano
Hey!! Thank you! I hope you are too. I miss you guys!
Hi Teresa it's great seeing you on and congratulations to your new place and hope you enjoy your new home Have a good weekend stay safe and happy growing 🥰 Reah
Reah, thank you so much. It was nice to be able to post a video. I am loving the new place, not so much the weather. Thank you again, and have a great weekend!
Are you have video in Spanish? My sister in PR is interested in get hybrid orchid no registered to buy one.
Hola Ana, desafortunadamente mi canal no está en español, pero puedo responder todas sus preguntas en español. Las orquídeas que viste en ese video se pueden comprar a través de las orquídeas de Sunset Valley. Gracias por tu interes y ver el video.
Hi theresa, just came across your channel. We don not have orchid hotels here so the concept is not too familiar to me. I take it they water the orchids. How much is the monthly cost for such a service? Do they repot any that need a repot? What ahppens if an orchid dies in their care as I'm sure can happen too. Is that part of their policy that they look after them as best they can but no guarantees provided? So have you gotten them back yet or are they still looking after them?
Hi Tom, it's just like a boarding place for dogs or cats. I call it a hotel for orchids, but I believe the pamphlet they have advertising on their front desk just calls it boarding. They do report if needed, and they also fertilized. They are not responsible for any plants that die. when you drop off the orchids they assign you a number and all your orchids get labeled with the same number. they also document each plant and the condition they come in. I picked them up last month but am behind with posting my videos because of the move. I will be posting a video of how they look now. when I picked them up they looked so green and just perky so beautiful. thank you for your interest and watching! I hope I answered your question.
Do you know if they sale any vanda orchids ? In that swap meet .
They do. The ladies there can get you anything just let them know. But every time I am there they have vandas too
I remember going there as a 4 year old kid with my parents . I'm in my 50s now . Havent been there in all those years . Itll be fun to go back. Thanks for the info .
I was wondering if I could make smaller holes in terracotta pots, like if I turned them upside down and made wind chimes out of them.
I am sure you can you just have to buy the different size bit that's all
@@teresascorner994 I’ll be going to my local Lowe’s to see what they’ve got as far as drill bits go.
@@wildshadowstar u bought a pack of 3 direct sized at home depot over 2 years and I still have them. They work great
@@teresascorner994 I live closer to Lowe’s than Home Depot, but will keep that in mind if I decide to order online.
thank you for the video I have 2 small rex's and was wondering how to care for them. The rhizome with the purple ring I was told is fusarium so what you did with it will hopefully help
I thought it was fusarium too but some plants have a natural purple tint and that's what mine was. I just used antifungal and Cinnamon on the cut and it's doing great
What are the price ranges?
Any where from $25 to the $$$. The larger plants are a bit expensive but they are healthy
Moving to Florida? That’s hit and humid… 🥳
I am moving to Mississippi about 2 hours from Jacksonville Florida.
@@teresascorner994 ah! That IS humid place!
Yes. I am looking forward to it.
👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙋🏻😍
Wow feel bad for your green house. Next time I will water your orchid. Glad you are back safe. Take care.
Lol. Thanks. I looks worse that it really is. They they a good job Taki g care of ir
Hello Teresa that's really sad, i think you should go for 100% sphagnum moss and arrange water bassins when you will be that long away from your Orchids. Anyway phals n phaph did welcome you beautifully.
Was someone coming by once a month to water at least or was this a full 7 months with zero new water?
7 months for me. I left one to care for them but they do not normally car for orchids. I am not sure how often they were being water.
I have a greater appreciation for your knowledge now that I have my own. It was a gift but with your videos I have been able to keep it alive 😆
Hey!! Did you also get into orchids?
@@teresascorner994 Yes! I couldn’t get brave and someone gifted it to me! 😆 so I had to learn!
You started drilling at a 45 degree angle not at 90 degrees. After the initial 45 degree drill, in order to get the notch, you rotated to the 90 degree angle and proceeded to drill straight down into the glass container.
Amazing 🤩. Been looking and also scared to f things up lol. I'm fixing to try and knock a couple out... crossing my fingers!!!
Take care friend. Be safe out there.! God bless you.
Aww. I miss you as my lib buddy. Lol thank you!!
Beautiful haul ❤
HAPPY NEW YEAR! HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING AND BE SAFE : ) REAH
Thank you!!
How much & how often do you use calcium? What type? They all look so healthy & happy.
I use calcium 5% or calmag. I use 1/4 of the recommended solution everytime I water.
Thanks for recording this place -- now I want to visit.
Rena, it is a awesome place. Do let me know what you think if you get to go.
If elution gives us a third arm, it will appear on orchid growers first 😅
so what type of wire is this? Love the idea
32.8 Feet Copper Aluminum Wire, I bought it from Amazon. I hope you find it useful.
Enjoyed.
Nice Teresa. Great epidendrum collection. I love Magic wand. Mine bloomed last winter into spring. Fragrant. And the one you said was almost dead. Looks like sun damage only. So. ..but nice update.
Thanks you!! I love epidendrums. I have seen some cool ones on other videos. The magic wand has been a re likeable bloomer for me. It was in bloom this spring. I love the fragrance. To me it smells like honey. I forget my orchid out in the sun some time
Magic Wand... I have one but it has never bloomed for me, so... if you have an idea as to how long it will take to bloom and want to do a CareCollab ?? 😬 sooo many exciting ongoings 🙌🏼👍🏼
I love it. It smells like honey. It was in full bloom APR 2021. I am truly surprise that it its developing new buds so soon. I noticed the sheath peaking through late June. I will keep track of how long it take. yes just let me know when you would like to have it ready. thank you. I am so excited.
The flowers of that burgundy Phal (mini flowers) they are half peloric... beautiful!!!
Oh wow, the strange part of that's it's only a few blooms. Some other are normal. There's a lot more blooms on it now. It's beautiful.
@@teresascorner994 it happens... it just indicates that it has a peloric gene... it can bloom completely normal, or completely peloric or like now in combination.
You are right about seeing something not doing right and changing things up. So happy that you are seeing some great results with your phals. Good stuff 🤩🤩
Thanks you!! I am very relieved its doing good. I love these two phals.
Hi! Thank you for sharing! Somehow I missed watching your video last time… it must have been when I was super busy… I am still trying to catch up on watching videos… but I do watch (or try to) all care collabs. Good growing orchid you got there!
Thank you for watching! I am glad you found my first video. So far it looks great there are even be growth growing in it
It should bloom again soon. Its a beautiful orchid, indeed, and the person who suggested this orchid to you as per your requirements, was right. A great orchid despite you being away ... its still looking fabulous 👍🏼 have a great day as well, Teresa! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to join in 🌸🥰
So jelly for your maxillaria blooms!!! Mine hasn't bloomed yet so I moved it next to my cattleyas so it gets brighter lights. I hope it does the trick. Everything is looking good. Your hubby and mom help with the watering I'm guessing while you're away?
I would gradually water the Catasetums at this point. I had the same issue with a few of mine, but they are now pushing roots. It's definitely slower than usual that one. As a side note, my chili sauce is pushing a new growth. The seedings are all growing really well! I need to do an update soon ❤️
I was not expecting any blooms! I was so surprised. I've been gone so long that I didn't even see the buds when they started. Yes the sunlight is definitely going to help your maxillary. Mine gets about two hours of actual sunlight in the morning and then about 12 hrs of LED. Yes they've been doing a good job with the watering and turning my fan on everyday. The chili sauce is a very resilient plant mine is pushing out a new growth to it's about an inch big already.
I can't wait to see when you do an update and because I've noticed that your plants grow fast.
It's so different where ones lives. If I would let my phalaenopsis go that dry, they would be in the bin next. Lost so many due to drying too much. :) You have good humidity?
Hello,I try to mist them every morning it helps keep the humidity high in my Greenhouse I also have a humidifier that it's constantly running. Other than that I think they did very well
You are in Finland? What is the weather like out there.Thank you for watching you have a great day
@@teresascorner994 yes, here in Southern part of Finland, near the Baltic sea. :) We have had extremely warm and dry weather during mid June - end of July. Not usual for us, so my orchids have been outside. Now the fall is starting to creeping in, so weather is chancing towards rain and cool days. Our houses are mainly really dry, so unless I'm able to keep the orchids outside the few months during summer, I need to supplement the lack of humidity with watering often. :)
Looks like Cattleya leopoldii and this is there blooming time. Nice find!
Thank you!! I loved the fragrance!
Awesome looking nursery! I enjoyed watching! I wish we had more of those out here. Nice cattleya haul. Looks familiar.
I was surprised by how many orchid nurseries were in the same area. Unfortunately, I only had time to go to two of them. I will be going back to check the rest of them out. I am glad you enjoyed them

Cool video! 😎
Thank you!!
Good job sweetie!👍👏🎊🥰🥰🥰🤩
Looking good Teresa. Honored to get that division of the Zygo. She's pushing out a new growth and looking great!
I am glad!! 3 weeks ago. Lol I haven't seen my plants in 3 weeks.
So cute! Your orchids looks gorgeous!🤗😂🤩🍀🎊🎉👍👍
Hi Teresa I was just curiosity why not just use hydrogen peroxide to get rid of the molds or soak your barks? Have a good evening stay safe and happy growing : ) Reah
Hello, I love using hydroperoxide. I use it at first to spray my pots that had mold and it did not work. I soak my bark in Clorox first then water, I normally do this do 3 water changes. That didn't work either. I was a bit upset that the mold came back.but it worked out at the end. Thank you for watching!
So frustrating to see the mold. The ones you gave me never developed mold but possibly because they were in smaller pots and can't stay too moist. It happens to me from time to time, but sometimes resolves itself. You can rinse with a bit of hydrogen peroxide next time or an extremely extremely diluted solution of physan 20 :)) nice to see the new roots!!
Yes, it is! I was freaking out because I was going to be away for about 3 week. I didn't so much mold in my pots for that long. I added a bigger fan in my green house.
Great video 👍
Wash the roots with 3% Hydrogen peroxide...
Love these! Can't wait to see how they do! As the phals get in bloom they are going to be so pretty!
These, are becoming more and more elaborate and beautiful 😍 my daughter wanted me to create something along those lines, and I told her, if you water it 😅 (30% humidity and hot winds, no rain for at least 6 months of the year) ... she quickly decided 'maybe not 😅
Well, it all ended up well ❤️
Hello Fernanda, yes I am so glad it turned out well. I was a bet nervous when I couldn't fit it in the bottle. the flower spike is much larger now. I am so glass it was not set back. Thank you for watching!!
