Where's the actual STEM in all of this video? The vast majority of this is no more than marketing and quasi-activism. There is very little even made mention of with regard to the operational metrics of a system, and literally no mention of anything that could be conceived as empirically-based (e.g. performance-based laws, cause and effect sequencing, etc.). You guys are people in academia; I would think STEM would be +90% of this video.

I live in rural Dewitt County and serve on the County Board. My nearest neighbor is a mile from the house. Two 600 ft. wind turbines in neighboring McLean County are closer than them, with dozens more turbines behind those. The legislature just passed a bill written by wind energy companies that takes away zoning authority from county boards, effectively giving away rural Central Illinois. I can’t imagine anyone choosing to live here after the construction boom that’s coming. I’m sorry to be saying that, since I’ve been here over 30 years and have loved the peaceful life this place has provided.
