I used to think "I know what inital D is about" but when I watched it properly I was star struck , the animation although somewhat "bad" gives me the same vibe as hajime no ippo.

Fun fact: the bgm used here is Twin Blade by A-ONE, which was unreleased at that time It seems like Toyota China managed to get an unreleased soundtrack from A-ONE. Or maybe this song was supposed to be specially make for this ad, until A-ONE decided to complete it BTW this song is released with gr86 in initial d the arcade. They know what they are doing 😂
