You mentioned that POA need to be abjudicated in sub registrar office. What i know if for NRI it has to be in registrar office and not in sub registrar which you mentioned. Also any one of either online notary it Indian consulate attestation should work.

Indian buerocracy is useless, OCI card should be an independent document and should not have linked to foreign passport

Why do we have to give up our Indian passport when applying for Australian citizenship? It should have a stamp saying it is no longer valid but we should be allowed to retain our passport.
