This video is a overview of how I made this house for my small model railroad layout using Blender. This house is part of a video I am making for my main channel, but I didn't want to nerd out about Blender in that video, so I posted it here... :) Hope you enjoy the video! This video is basically a sped-up un-cut recording with a voice over. Showcasing how I made this abandoned railroad building thing in Blender. This video is not aimed at total beginners, but instead aimed at more intermediate Blender users who want to learn to make models for 3D printing... Adding Print Supports for Resin 3D Printing in Blender
Просмотров 2784 месяца назад
Hi all! Welcome to my first tutorial on this channel! The main reason why I use Blender for adding supports is to have full control of where & how supports are added. I also make my designs available on my BuyMeACoffee page and I don’t want people to add support in an improper manner resulting in the print failing. That's why I want to include a pre-supported model that I’ve test-printed so peo...
Modelling buildings in Blender for Resin 3D printing (Time-Lapse)

My reference for the building was (old church penallt) I didn't follow the reference 100% and used my imagination and changed a few things. The building was made for a diorama I made on my main channel. I'm still learning a lot about Blender (specifically hard-surface modelling which I'm quite new to... And modelling something that's printable is also another challenge. I'm looking forward to m...

Hi all! Welcome to the first video in this series! this is meant to be a fun way for me to share about my nerdy Blender projects. Please let me know what you think about this video?
Nice work! Subd!
Much appreciated!
Good to see someone else using blender for model railroading!
You should use booleans for the windows and use a solidify modifier to give the walls thickness... I try to make simple solid parts and boolean them as much as possible. That stops all of the problems like ngons and holes. You dont need to union because the slicer does that automatically.
Hi, thanks for the comment. I did use booleans for the windows and doors. Solidify modifier is quick and easy but if you have a model with inner walls it can be a bit annoying. And if you forget to apply the scale and your model has non-standard scale it won't make the walls the same thickness. But I agree it could make it a bit faster, however I just do it manually so I know it's correct... I know you don't have to union it, and I have printed many models like that. But if you're planning to publish/sell your models I think it's more professional to union it all into one manifold object.
Awesome video! jk it sucks ;)
Rude :(
Hi all! Welcome to another video on my second channel! Let me know if you enjoy this kind of video format...?
Thanks. Works for me!
Hey! Welcome to the first video which I did without a script! I know I still suck at talking and explaining things in English... But don't worry I am working hard on improving. Please let me know if you have any feedback, I would love it hear your suggestions!
Hey! Sorry for sounding sick in this video... If you were able to make it through this video I hope you learned something new! Also, please let me know if there's anything I can improve on for the next video?
In the past, I spent a lot of time trying (and mostly failing) to use Blender for 3D modeling. As soon as sketch-and-extrude-based modelers like Fusion, Onshape, and Sharpr3D became available for free, I never returned to Blender. Blender is great for organic shapes like people, animals, and monsters, but I find that most things I want to model are man-made and mostly geometric based. Nonetheless, I'm glad to see that you seem to be having better luck with Blender than I did.
Great work with amazing details! I am new to Blender world and trying to model 3d printable buildings, great if you can share more detailed video with keystrokes.
Hi! At the moment I'm not really sure if I should make tutorials aimed at at beginners or share more of an overall overview of the process... If you are new to Blender I recommend checking out Blender guru's donut tutorials. I don't really want to teach the basics of Blender. Would rather share specific information about modeling for Resin 3D printing. But you need a basic idea of how Blender works... That makes it hard for me. 😅
Very nice tutorial! :) hahaha
This building was made for a diorama I made for my main channel. If you want to watch it here's the link: ruclips.net/video/xXW9huBTfNg/видео.html
