Teen's over-emotional response to "The Hunger Games"
The Camera glitch was so bad for a second I thought it was youtube and not the game, goddamn.
It's basically an earthquake on Nora Lands!
I got that Bode was a Jedi spoiled for me by some RUclipsr right before I got to that point in the game. It was really lame because I didn't see it coming at all
i know that he was planning on dipping before this happened but im pretty sure the degan fight is what made him truly break. its what made him do the most drastic of actions, as that was a nightmare he already had, now just made physical.
Idk how people really trusted this guy he always seemed invasive asking probing questions, with thinly vailed pleasantries. I really fucked with kals journey. But after losing all my friends and brothers in arms, and the only guy to survive is the new guy, that wouldve immediately set off red flags for me. Gotta say tho, i really like how its there if u pay close enough attention. All the hints. Except his actual past. Jedi survivor is one one of my favorite starwars games of all time. Top 5 atleast.
This hurt soo much
I couldn’t see Bode as being a bad guy since he was voiced by the same actor who played Charles in Red Dead Redemption 2, that voice just makes me think of an awesome guy.
Basically Jedi can do anything. Especially if the writer is lazy.
I like the part where Cal kills Bode then Bode’s daughter was like, well he was a bad dude and was acting weird. Then she teams with the Cal, the guy that just killed her dad.
Honestly I had a feeling when you went to the lucrehulk core, but after he saved cals life I thought he wouldn't do it, so it hit even harder
I hate that a RUclips thumbnail spoiled Bode’s betrayal for me
I knew he was bad immediately after he didnt say “may the force be with you” to cal not even an hour into the story lol
I was expecting him to betray u since man was it heavily for shadowed and the fact het was the only survivor of his second crew forced into already existing dynamic and being referred to as brothers constantly although him being a jedi was a surprise first time playing the second run u realize it was also kinda for shadowed but not as much.
I knew bode was a traitor from the jump he just seemed off to me
Are you banned from google?
Huh?
@@MonsterSodaholic Just google "Helldivers grenade glitch" 🙄
Just google “helldivers grenade glitch”
@@MonsterSodaholic just google grenade glitch lmao
Get gud
I knew he would betray us it was pretty obvious so I was always expecting it I didn't expect him to be force-sensitive tho
I knew right away Bode was going to be a traitor. No good side character ever survives the "Let's split up. I'll take some of the bad guys with me." trope.
That guy was such a chode
Coulda been sayin their left and right
The owner of the video Skipped kindergarten
she's just telling the directions from the players POV?
I think Bode started thinking he will betray Cal early because he’s a Jedi, but I also think Bode started to see Cal as a friend. But Bode thought that inviting the Hidden Path would also bring the empire so
I saw bode as a character that would either die a hero or betray us like a villain. Wasn’t expecting to be both AND him be a Jedi 😂😂😂😂😂
I suspected him from the beginning, but I didn't expect him to be another Jedi Survivor.
Funny enough when I played thru this game , during the first mission when ur trying to get back to the mantis before you visit Greez for repairs with Bode Cal and that one guy I can’t rmr his name , there’s a brief moment where Bode does this side eye to Cal while he’s talking and that’s what ticked it off for me that he was a sus dude the whole game
One of my fave scenes out of this is when it happens and your chasing him when you get to the end of the chase cal says why why bode we fought for that together and your just gonna hand it to the empire how cal said those lines especially the fought for that together and your just gonna hand it to the empire you could feel it in his voice
BODE
Bode is star wars version of Aizen from bleach
You know what's funny I knew Bode was a bitch ass right from the start and I never trusted him, but right at the moment I started to like him as a character, BOOM he goes full 180 and betrays Cals ass and murders my boy Cordova who is like the most wholesome guy in existence, absolutely disgraceful. Fuck you Bode. I feel betrayed on a personal level by this character, actual massive prick.
To think everything Bode did could’ve been prevented had Cal approached him with the Tanalorr situation a little differently. I think Cal kind of jumped the gun a bit and didn’t really think of Bode’s daughters safety at all and simply focused on building his Jedi Order that isn’t guaranteed to work. Bode should’ve also just told the truth to Cal as well, they could’ve compromised, this story is basically a lesson that communication is important in situations like this.
To be honest I wasn't shocked by bode. He was hired for one job and suddenly got himself way too close too quickly with cal and cal being lonely fell for it.
I mean yeah it was a plot twist but I just asking how long before he turns on me as well. And sure enough he did. He also kept dropping hints like saying stuff like trust your instincts. Jedis don't have attachments etc etc stuff that only Jedi would know about.
Bode's betrayal was very obvious what with the "hey I'm the new guy who just joined your established team only for them to all instantly die whilst I fly away to act as the diversion" at the very start but I think making him a Jedi was both unexpected and not a very good twist. Granted it was needed for a final boss but having him just be a deranged ex Jedi rather than a bona fide Imperial agent kinda sucked.
Fuck that guys. Thats all I'm gonna say
man i loved bode's character 😔
*Goes through door BODE YOU TRAITOR
I got Bode's betrayal spoiled for me by a YT video title, (wish people wouldn't do that) but i didn't know how or why or how far it would go or how impactful it would be.
yeah so I actually didn't expect him to be a traitor. Like my immediate thought was "He's gonna get killed and Cal's gonna have to save his daughter." I was technically right, I just missed a LOT of aspects of why.
Lying b4astard
He started off as a double agent, then began to believe but ultimately still ended up falling due to crippling fear and desperation. What a shame, I liked him, and would've liked to have him as a part of the crew for the next one. Also same as most people, I saw the betrayal coming because of some of his dialogue down the line REALLY showing how desperate he was to get away from the Empire as fast and with as few people as possible. But I didn't expect him to have been a Jedi. I wonder if he had cut himself off from the force like Cere back in Fallen Order.
i knew bode was gonna betray everyone the moment i laid eyes on him, but at the same time i felt it was lazy for them to make cal not be able to sense his intentions
To me it was obvious since the beginning that he was either gonna die or be a traitor... Don't know which I would've preferred.
I like the character. But then,I remember he killed Cordova, and I start hating him lol. Frustrated after we spent our entire time in fallen order following Cordova...
Bode definitely wasn’t planning on betraying Cal from the beginning, but kept it in his pocket as a plan B. I genuinely think that if Cal didn’t want to bring The Path along then Bode wouldn’t have betrayed him
Ok Charles. Go back to New Hanover. We need more money.
Throughout the story, I thought Bode was alright. It was nice to have a surviving companion. After defeating Dagen, i raised an eyebrow in suspicion. When his betrayal happened, it was a bummer. When he force pushed us, my jaw hit the floor. That was exciting, cause i was wondering "how's this bounty hunter-like dude gonna beat a jedi?" Well that was quickly answered.
The SECOND Bode didn't die to Dagan Gera I though "Hey! That's the biggest twist they could have done! The guy had so many red flags that him surviving is honestly pretty out of the left field!" And then he stays behind at Jedah to "record a bedtime story for Kata" and I IMMEDIATELY knew what was coming. Fucking redshirt got me.
When I first started to play I felt he was a little to eager, and two friendly. As I was well into the game and at work talking about it we are gaming store, my coworker told me his part and well I finished it, but it was marred. Please people don’t spoil it for others, ask if they have finished it first…
(Spoiler) I knew from the very beginning he would betray Cal. Dude was doing jobs for credits, not the cause at hand. Meaning he'll sell out in a moment's notice. I was wrong about how he did it, but still a betrayer nontheless. There was just something about him you could feel was off. I don't understand why he was so upset about making Tanalorr a sanctuary for the Hidden Path. Like dude, you do realize it's a whole ass planet right?? You could live away from them if you want.. why can't you share it? It's not like they're going to occupy every single inch of space. Then he tried the arguement of "but could you keep Kata safe from the empire Cal?" Here he is being a hypocrit. You can't keep Kata anymore safe than Cal can on Tanalorr. If the empire comes, they come whether Cal's there or not. All of his reasoning of why he did what he did, is invalid. He literally had no good reason to betray Cal. Everyone could have lived peacefully there. Cere and Cordova included. He deserved to die. If he was worried that bringing the Hidden Path to Tanalorr would make the empire want to go their even more, it still could have been centuries before the empire figured out a way to get past the abyss.. Long after him and Kata have already lived their lives and it wouldn't be their problem Also unrelated, Dagan Gera reminded me so much of Anakin Skywalker. In the way thay he talked, how he thought, and ultimately his obsession was his downfall. Just like Anakin's obsession with learning the power of preventing death and then blaming the Jedi. Both characters gave huge red flags indicating they're not fit to be Jedi. And somehow seeing these multiple flags, the jedi just ignored them and hoped for the best. Their inaction resulted in these character's final form.
Seems this did not BODE well the second time. …I regret nothing.
