The actions of some tourist is so disrespectful I wonder what is going through their heads. Do they think they are is Disneyland? These guards are highly trained soldiers that have been on active service and carrying out their duties. I wonder would they do what they do in their own country. I don't think so.

*1976* walking with my dad at the Changing of the Guard. He said "if you get in their way, they'll walk over you". Some tourist wasn't paying attention and the _roar_ from the Guard to make way was terrifying. I can still hear it nearly 50 years later !

I was an IT contractor at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds for over 2yrs.... I would often work down at the Tower of London and spoke to them outside of their working shifts. The Guards stand there for hours at a time, they know exactly who is wholesome and who is taking the piss.

I now live in a world where beautiful kindness brings tears so quickly. Feels nice anyway huh?

People...keep in mind, such guards, anywhere in the world, are also humans... they have feelings, they do laugh, but are also on a duty...... ! And to the apathetic brainless tourists.... guards are NOT there for you to play with or touch their equipment and stop provokin them with your egocentric actions, you will only make things bad for you since you decide to annoy those who do NOT annoy you.

This is not unusual. While the guards have their duties to perform they are used to being photographed and whenever possible will co-operate, particularly with children. All that is necessary is that parents keep their children under control. Please avoid using flash photography as it can spook the horse.
