The yellow gasket looks nothing like mine. Mine is black and has a grove on the bottom not on the sides.

This adapter is dangerous. The glass bottle can explode and shred your hands or worse, it becomes a frag grenade. As glass bottles age they become more likely to develop faults and micro fractures that will cause failure when under pressure.
Hello, I'm in the UK and would like to please ask if you make something a little different. instead of filling the existing bottle, I would like to unscrew the existing coupling device from an empty Sodstream quick-fit bottle, then screw that into an adaptor which is connected to a suitable hose and at the other end, another fitting to connect a UK 6.5KG external CO2 cylinder.

Hello, May be the valve on your aldi cylinder is not standard TR21-4 thread, you can check , if there is a big space between your adapter and valve, that means your thread is not TR21-4,So you can't screw the adapter to the correct position.
By the way, you are from Germany or UK?
Switzerland, but I think the cylinders are the same as in Germany and Austria

You can leave it on the tank, but remember to turn off the valve

@@CullenJWebb You are absolutely right. That metal shroud is there for a reason on the machines that are made to use glass bottles. If I were going to try this, I would definitely cover the machine with some sort of heavy blanket while doing it. It is VERY irresponsible to sell a product like this that defeats critical safety features.

You will need to purchase the tank-to-adapter hose separately if you don't already have one. It uses the same hose for old type sodastream.You can exchange an empty 5-pound cylinder for a refilled one from AirGas for less than $20. at $30 per refill, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out the value of refilling your empty cylinders. It's massive! Well, MOST tanks do not have a siphon, and unless it is marked on the cylinder, The CO2 in a cylinder will always be in liquid form on the bottom and gas on the top. When we put CO2 into a drink, we want the gas. When refilling a cylinder, we want the liquid form. The siphon is essentially a big straw that will draw out the CO2 from the bottom in liquid form. As a result, if your larger cylinder lacks a siphon (as most do), it will have to be turned upside down during the refilling process. This is so the CO2 will come out in liquid form.
If you have a paintball or similar CO2 setup and want to refill your sodastream bottles, this is what you need. This will connect to your paintball setup via a quick connect fitting. You need to use a large 5lb bottle or larger to refill the soda stream.
