We got very lucky. We only had one range 2 weapon, but the butcher's trap triggers, blasts everyone nearby gets hit with knockback 5, everyone gains a bleeding token, and the person to trigger then receives a basic attack. The hit location deck is also pretty thin, I think only 15 cards? In our case the high strength low speed weapons helped by not churning through so quickly. Going in with a similar strat and better luck, I'd have loved to have 2 counterweight axes and a cat-eyes circlet. We did great with what we had though.

A survivor with 4 evasion at this point of the game is unusual. Well, in my games it is… Avoiding that much damage really, really helps in this fight.

​@@kristianpettersen3962+3 is guaranteed +4 is fairly consistent. Even at that + 3 pretty much negates the butcher already. I haven't followed up the whole campaign but having unlocked weapon crafter and having these counter weight axe and others is very powerful against the butcher. ( Most reactions are on failure)

​@@ADeathtoMonsterscat eye circle will make you do worse against the butcher. My recommendation against the butcher is do more damage than he does. Using CEC limits the damage you do per round .

@@SinamonX True, but it does limit your ability to dig for the death blow towards the end. Still better to live though!

I did a playthrough once of going big population. It was funny in the sense that even though we lost 2-3 people per hunt, we still grew. But there are many encounters you really don't want to lose, and the +1 str/+1 eva/re-roll go way farther to keeping people alive than you'd ever imagine. Hoping it'll pay off, we'll see in the next episode.

I bought a premium pack of like 300+ for $25. It's been totally worth it so far lmao.

Once she completes the red puzzle piece/affinity on the side she gets the +1 evasion. Otherwise it's the same as the rawhide headband on its own, it doesn't do anything without the connection.

@@ADeathtoMonsters ah shit you're right i missed the affinity requirements again; i'm so used to automatically having it with most of the bone weapons giving the red affinity

Once the AI cards are all gone, it's one more hit to kill it. There are some exceptions, but that's basically how it works.

I usually wait to fight the level 2 antelope when I have dash and range 2. But we've become so flooded with bone that fighting him might be helpful to turn it all into other resources instead. I wouldn't fight the level 2 one though, just the level 1. There's just a very good possibility at least one person will get eaten and someone else might get their weapon or arms eaten.

I have the specific curse of anyone who gets the +1 strength is the first to die. It's almost always like that for me somehow.

It'd be nice but it'd be very overpowered to skip over having to make the ass tier bone weapons if you could go directly to making the way better cat weapons. There's almost nothing scarier in the campaign than that first level 1 White Lion if you didn't pull a baby and survival of the fittest or get lucky with your first drops.

@@ADeathtoMonsters unfortunately yo I do not, as you don’t pick the target. See it as you’re insane enough to pick yourself to get attacked, thus you get an insanity.

@@ADeathtoMonsters also I wouldn’t get too hung up on the rules, as long as you do what you can to follow them. Most important thing is to have fun and a cohesive experience. KDM is so random anyways, haha.

There's a lot to follow! I've done a ton of campaigns (none to the end), but I feel like I found out I was doing a rule wrong every time. Thanks for your help.
