I’m planning on doing toric monofocal. That will give me the best I can get. I know I will have to do excersizes to adjust , my eyes have never been the same anyway. And you can train your brain to deal with it. Looking so forward to getting it done.

You can't go wrong with a monofocal lens. You will get the sharpest distance and highest contrast and night vision possible. What is the big deal using reading glasses for reading. Only less than arm's length does vision start to weaken. Glasses not needed at all for driving. 100 % of light goes to retina with monofocal lens, not true with multifocal lens.

Im now 72, five years ago I had cataracts removed and had the inter-occular multi focal Tecnis Symfony lens procedure on both eyes. My close and distance vision is now fantastic! I do not need any other vision correction (contacts or eye glasses) and have been so impressed with the results. If your eyes are otherwise healthy aside from the cataracts, I heartily recommend inter-ocular implants!

I had the surgery 4 months ago and when I move and try to focus the images I'm feeling dizzy, I noticed that near the nose when I lift my head the image is a little wavy, the lens is aspherical monofocal and I have myopia -0.5 and astigmatism -0.75. Before the surgery I didn't have this dizziness, the lens could be out of position, a little tilted, what could it be? Rayner RAO600C lens, this lens has good protection. -0.5 myopia was a medical error?

Excellent video. Learned a few new things. However, calling the yag procedure “laser polishing” is a bit of polishing which does not plain. what is actually happen as I understand it’s is cells from the old lenses growing on the capsule that contains the location of the new interocular lenses , thus needing a laser to basically blow a hole in the capsule to regain clarity. I recommend that ANYBODY who is considering cataract surgery spend lots of times on forums where people comment on the results of their operation. This is critical so you will understand the potential complications of cataract surgery but even more importantly, you will understand to temper your expectations. This surgery results in very good outcomes but it will not allow you to see like a teenager. At this point, there are always trade offs . Maybe in the future, a real artificial lense that truly accommodates like the original will come to fruition, but we are not there yet..
