The Panoply Steelband

The Panoply är ett steelband från Södertälje. Vi spelar instrumentet steelpan, eller oljefat, som är tillverkade av återvunna förvaringstunnor, en tradition som startade på Trinidad och Tobago i Västindien. Till exempel användes några av instrumenten vi spelar på tidigare för transport av melass i Indien. Vår repertoar är mycket varierad och innehåller förutom klassisk steelbandmusik som calypso och soca även pop och rock från flera decennier. Oavsett vilken musikstil vi spelar blir det ett härligt drag med över ett dussin orkestermedlemmar.
