The family and I have always used Raffles/Gateway as a stopover before heading out to the Islands and on return before our flight home... so convenient, we love this place. Vinaka for the video...well done.

Not ultimate in anyway, this Qantas business class is very average, try Qatar or Singapore Airlines for a real experience👍👍

Diamond member , why, food are hard to get in UK.

Have stayed there many times. Either first night on arrival in Fiji and/or last night before departure, depending on flight times. Only the basic room, similar to but smaller than the one in the video and no patio but fine for a single night stay. Price is reasonable and restaurant food good but menu hasn't changed much over the years. The bar switched to beer in cans a while ago (smaller than the stubby bottles at same price) but last trip in October the stubbies were back. 😊

I flew the QF 787-9 Business Class from SYD to AKL and the seat was very innovative and has enough legroom for the journey. For the meals, they first gave me the salad, some cold dishes and bread. Next they gave me the main meal which is Thai Green Curry. The entertainment system was good, however they could have added more choices and more music to the list. You can also use the music to listen when you are going through the flight map. The flight map was very good and was innovative and had good features. You can view via cockpit view, window view. However there are no tail cameras.

Finally a decent review on a particular hotel room

Congratulations on visiting somewhere other than harbourside Sydney. Parramatta was the early seat of government. The original Government House (the site of the revolt against Governor Bligh - yes, the same Bligh) took place in what is now a large park just to the west of your walk. Parramatta is the head of navigation of Sydney Harbour (where the fresh water meets the saltwater). The ferry ride between Circular Quay and Parramatta is a close second to the Manly Ferry for sightseeing. Along the foreshore near the ferry wharf are plaques commemorating lots of personal stories from Aboriginal and European people around when settlement by the latter first occurred. Most of Sydney's population is in the west, far from beaches and the harbour. Parramatta is actually very close to the population centre of Greater Sydney. If you go under the James Ruse Drive bridge ferry just out of Parra, you will see the words "I sowed the forst grain" (sic) commemorating how the convict farmer Ruse was the first to successfully grow grain nearby to supply the colony. You noticed the Metro station under construction. That's to serve the growing population (now 270,000) and the numerous high rise residential buildings up to 67 stories high. The new Light Rail you passed running along the streets will soon be opening.

That's surprising. You would expect personalised service in a first class lounge then again coffee isn't really a Japanese thing. I'm looking at trying out that lounge, after seeing your video, in early October. I'm flying Cathay but have OneWorld Emerald status.
