This is amazing! Do you have instructions on how to do it and what to buy? Since the video is about a year old, how did the overvolted actuator hold up? If I'm understanding how it works properly then I think that actually 5.5cm travel for the actuator might be okay, it would mean that you wouldn't be able to trim for extreme back or forward positions on the yoke, but you're probaby unlikely to need to hold those positions with trim anyway? And the added strength around the centre might be better? Would love a how-to guide on this, having proper trim on my honeycomb would be fantastic (it's what I loved about my old sidewinder joystick).
Absolutely awesome!!

Amazing, I wish they had just done this in the first place, it would have really upped the realism and clearly wouldn't have cost much more to do.
That's how it was meant to be done imo. That's the most hands on approach possible without going full breadboard and playing electrical engineer which wasn't the course's philosophy. Very cool.

Nice work man really liked what you did really inspired me to study this😁
Hi, your fpga implementation looks amazing. btw I am going through the same course and wanted to have your opinion about which fpga i should use in order to replicate this?
gitlab/x653/nand2tetris-fpga The link also includes an in-depth tutorial on the whole process
@@yanco6 thanks :)
