🔥🇵🇦🔥🇵🇦🔥🇵🇦🔥🇵🇦🔥
This was great !!! A+
Kompa has influence of Salsa, not merengue, the name kompa is from a Spanish rhythm named compas
You're thinking of dominican merengue. We have haitian meringue which is folk. Kompa came from this set of folk music. Now lets talk about how them our music and dance style been stolen in Africa such as kizomba.
Awesome 🎼
Great! 👌🏾 😎 👍🏾
That was great !
Stop with your pro-dominican misinformation. Konpa does not come from dominican Merengue. Totally different beat. Haitian Meringue and Dominican Merengue share similarities.
Damn! I wish I could put your tutorial on a loop. 😪 It would be a nice complement to my keyboard playing.
All respect and love. Pral gen kouri
Haiti was the first black indépendant republic , that's mean a lot so think about it..
Haitian rhythm come from Africa
I tried for years to find the name of that song. I just can't seem the find the original
hi , what is the size of those conga ?
Conga and tumba. 11 3/4 and 12 1/2
Jashua Daby .. For your information the Dominican style of music come from Haiti... That's mean ( Kompa was invented way before Dominican music) thank you
exactly..
Nice rhythm bro thanks for sharing 🇭🇹
Actually merengue took its rhythm from kompa Haitian play merengue way before anyone else kompa influe zouk kizomba merengue etc
Kompa is the mother of zouk Kizomba y Merengue
nah thats not true , merengue was originated from african music during the late 1800s.. it consisted of a tambora which is the main drums used as well as an acordian and a guira the instrument that looks like a grater. Because music began to modernize , merengue musicians actually began incorporate such instruments because of salsa.
@@tibladamada6836 kompa and merengue come rytm carabine
@@adoseoflina Meringue* is Haitian folk, we have our own set. This folk music is what's used in the creation of Kompa. But yeah the person in video got the info wrong.
Bon bagaye ! To be continued 👍
I mean, your voice and your soul... JD, you're incredible!
That's a lie sir.. Meringue is AFRICAN 2) compa is AFRICAN base. And none of you beat doesn't sound meringue 3) meringue was already established in the WHOLE Island way before being adopted .
You need to take back your nonsense. The base of our music is RARA CREATED by the slaves. Listen to Tropicana, Zinglin for exemple, playing their drum in harmony with the bass and all the instruments in the back.. These instruments are the platform of the compas. This has nothing to do with DR
MCK Lapierre you trippin
La viña no me miro
How dare you. Merengue existed before the Dominican Republic did. Before the revolution. The rythm is voodoo. Before we gave the Dominicans independence,we occupied there country and We created merengue together.
Remember that ( Music was created by African ) Rhythmic invented by African..
@@fredhilaire9009 What nonsense is that. So Europe and Asia did not have music.
Good intro and playing but it would be great if you could make a more step by step tutorial
I couldn't comment on that other vid, but I just wanted to say this band sounds really smooth.
You're wrong Haitian didn't take anything from Dominican, conga and conga playing originated in Africa. Get your shit straight...
The Konpa was naturally influenced by a very popular dominican style called "tipico or Perico Ripiao" brought in to Haiti by Dominican prostitutes and the powerful Dominican radio stations in the late 1940's. Before 1955- birth year of Konpa- many Haitian musical formations incorporated that genre in their repertoire untill Nemours came in with Konpa direct. But the Konpa is mainly influenced by two Vodou rhythms namely Ibo, and Kongo! And of course, the horns arrangements were inspired by the powerful Cubans Orchestras of the time. Nemours was able to merge all the sound heard by his generation into a unique blend around which all Haitians were able to rally their dancing shoes. That swirling and deep groove: Konpa Direct!! By the way, the name came not from Nemours. His guitar player, Raymond Gaspard, during a rehearsal in a casually chat famously declared: " this rhythm is a Konpa direct", meaning a straight ahead beat. Quick thinking Nemours immediately recognised the catchiness of the name and the rest is history. Long live Konpa!
Brother the guy is right I m an Haitian guitarist yes our Congo petro nabo ibo Dahomey rhythm are African but to make our kompa we brought in the Cowbell with the Tambour mix together to give us that unique sound...also the real authentic Haitian drum is made of Beef or goat skin and sounds Way Deeper
UrDesignatedShooter Good point.
whats the name of the band?
What is the rest of the drum patterns.
What is the guitar and piano pattern for kompa.
Very good! thanks m'y friend ...
Nice flavour and feel
