FOMO TOYS
Австралия
Добавлен 11 авг 2023
The curse of a collector is the fear of missing out. Forever haunted by nightmares of hesitation and missed opportunity. This channel picks at the festering wound that is our shared addiction. Gathering up pointless pieces of decaying plastic, dragging them screaming back into our lairs and holding them captive in glass cages for our own amusement. Sit back and relax into the intoxication of nostalgia, as we shuffle off these mortal coils.

Wow; there are some in here I have never heard of before. Thanks! Merry Christmas
Next level stuff. Love it!!
Wow Leigh, not only was this an awesome look at some of your incredibly well curated collection, but it's got me hyped for future episodes. I can't wait to see more of your Bugs, Gross out Gang and Dr Dreadful, and you've definitely got me intrigued about Moose Toys! Merry Christmas mate, hope you're enjoying the holidays!🎄
Dude what an incredible first part to your room tour I can’t wait to see all the awesome upcoming episodes well done dude and merry Christmas 🎄🎁 😎🤟🏻
Cool intro dude!!!🔥🔥🔥
Awesome!!
I collect series 1 & 2, however its been become really difficult to collect them this year (2024) as most for sale are sold individually (pricey) or as a highly priced bundle package. Only back in 2022/2023 you could often pick up a bundle of 8-10 at auction for a fair price but sadly resellers have caught on and this is rarely possible now.
I feel your pain! Most of the stuff I collect comes from the US or Europe so shipping fees to Australia frequently cost more than the item :( so I try to buy bulk and recoup some costs by selling off my doubles..but it would be ridiculously expensive if I had to buy each piece individually!
@@FOMOTOYS Thanks, yes buying MIMP has always been more cost effective as a bundle. I saw a batch of 55x sell for £151 just yesterday, even bundles have become overpriced.
This was a fantastic episode mate, I didn’t realise there was so much MIMP products. I’m 3 away from the complete series one and now I’m looking out for those comics. Thanks for making a wonderful colourful history on these fantastic toys.
Cheers Dean! :D
Your book was on sale here in Singapore, and i bought the last 3 copies 🎉
I love seeing where it ends up around the world, thank you :)
Is that a monster in your pocket or are you happy to see me?
Well done mate another incredible episode on monsters in my pocket and I had no idea that they re did the line so many times very informative and loved all the visuals 😎👌🏻
Thanks Ryan! It was news to me too, all part of the fun of researching for these videos :)
@ absolutely 👍🏻 well done mate great job 😎🤟🏻
Incredible stuff mate, great to see Monster in my Pocket get the slick toy history video it deserves. Thank you for indulging my nostalgic love of the line and shining a light on some of the later releases I wasn't aware of. The Monster Mountain remains top of my wish list!🔍
Cheers Scott! The 2006 line were a very lucky last minute find at a toy show I was vending at a few weeks ago. You don’t see that stuff around very often. I will say the Wrestlers have very quickly become my favourite MIMP.
@@FOMOTOYS I'm not super drawn to the lines after the first 48 (and the Howlers), but the wrestlers are definitely an exception!
Hats off sir; another banger
Thank you kindly! :D
how to find admski store? is it located under namba station?
Yeah it’s a hard one to find! Namba City department store, Level B1, across from ‘RidersFact’ store…it’s worth the hunt, good luck! :D
hello congratulations on the really beautiful collection!!! listen I would be interested in the mighty max book. is there a way to buy it? are copies available for sale?
Hey Jason, thanks for the support :) DM me on instagram and I’ll provide the link and a discount code for you.
@@FOMOTOYS hi sorry but i don't use instagram....i only use facebook. is there another way to access the link? a site another social?
All good mate..here’s the link, store.bookbaby.com/book/the-toys-of-mighty-max Use the coupon code ‘FOMO’ for a discount too :) enjoy
@@FOMOTOYS thanks I'll check the link later. In case do you ship to Italy?
The print house is based in the US and do ship internationally :)
Is there a good place to get this book from? They’re out of stock on Amazon and many other places, and I had a bad experience trying to get it from a so-called print-on-demand business. I want this book.
DM me on instagram :)
Your collections is soo coool, and i love the chill vibe of the video❤
Thank you! It definitely gets weirder as the episodes go on ;)
I am late to the party and can't find ANY copies of your book. Do you still have a copy I could buy?
Feel free to drop me a DM on instagram and I’ll see if I can help :)
Mate another incredible episode loved the boglins history and always love learning about the other gross out toys that came around from the similar era well done 👍🏻
Any recommendations on where to get acrylic cases for carded doom zones? Awesome episode btw. I picked up a copy of your book, very insightful and an awesome read!
Welcome @Bananarama128 (fun name!)… I searched high and low for blister cases big enough to fit carded doom zones. The ones I have are from a company called ‘Action Force’ in the US…you’ll have to double check the dimensions but from memory it was the biggest case they make. Even still I did have to modify them slightly for a custom fit, which I didn’t like to do but they still keep the card nice and flat, protect the bubble, and they stand independently which helps with displaying. Feel free to message me on instagram and i can help you further :)
Wow, first I find your channel and next I find out you made the book I got to support my Mighty Max collection. Awesome channel. Greetings from México!
Very happy to have you here! thank you X2 for supporting me with my book and again for following my channel :)
BOGLINS!!!!!!!!!!! BOGLINS BOGLINS BOGLIIIIIIIINNNNNNNSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More vintage gross out goodness by Fomo toys ❤ Personally I was never into these toys, however, im sorry, we love your vids so much, at this point we would watch an action figure asleep on your channel mate 🤣🤣🤣 Love to do a livestream with you 😊👍
Always appreciate your supportive words and would love to get on one of your livestreams with you guys! :)
I really love your videos, but I think it might be a good idea to buy a proper microphone or recorder, as your voice over sounds a bit thin. Anyway, keep up the gross stuff!!!
Audio is the bane of my youtube existence, but I’ve just invested in some new gear although I still have some study to do to improve things. Great constructive feedback, I love it! and trust me i’m working on it so thanks for putting up with my amateur audio so far ;)
Another absolute cracker Leigh! That opening scene is brilliant! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, your collection is unbelievable. Complete set of Blurp Balls, carded Goops... as someone who is always on the lookout for gross-out toys (thanks in large part to your influence), I know how hard this stuff is to find in our part of the world!
Oh man! Shipping from the US or UK often costs more than the item itself! Crazy, but what can I say, I’m addicted!
Absolutely love your videos! Your subscriber count is criminal. It’s a matter of time before you blow up! I’m always excited anytime you upload. Keep up the INCREDIBLE work!!!
Mighty Max also had some Shrunken Heads that makes you puke ropey strings of purple slime
I struggled to watch this episode… since you’d hit it so far out of the park it was just a dot on the horizon. Seriously though, stellar production values
Your videos are soooo good. I have a feeling your channel is gonna blow up real soon! I would love to see a video strictly on The Mel Appel Company. They ripped off so many other toy lines that I find them fascinating. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! I’ve covered the weird ball line-up very briefly but now you have me curious. I might have to do some detective work, great idea :)
Amazing as always!
Cheers mate! :)
That actually scared me and caught me off guard 5:09
Why isn't this channel blowing up?? So goood!!!
Wicked gross vid bro… love it❤❤🤢🤧
As always mate a very high quality and enjoyable video. Always look forward to a FOMO toys vid popping up on the feed 😍👌
Great work again 👏
Mate knocked it out the park again, I love the quality of your episodes and ovcourse I loved the MM sets and learning about body wars and the trash bag bunch will have keep a look out for those on my next toy hunt adventures, well done.
Cheers Ryan :)
Another banger; I have been dropping your name in some group chats. I hope you start to see a bigger audience like you deserve. Grabbed the book as well; take care!
Thanks mate! I appreciate any help I can get. I’m enjoying making them, always something to learn or improve,
Cool, never knew about trashbag bunch. I’m sure that would have been another addition from mightymax So enjoyable to watch 😝🤣 🔥
Watch out, it’s a miniature slippery slope with trash bag bunch, after them there’s fist full of aliens, and Thingz that go bump in the night! So much tiny goodness
After watching this episode, Toymax definitely missed an opportunity by not adding a slime feature to the Body Wars sets! Superb production as always mate, your use of sound effects is unreal, and I continue to be in awe of the scope of your collection... and Goops in the next installment? Can't wait!!
Yeahhh buddy! Every toy deserves a slime feature :) I noticed your amazing goops pick ups in your previous video, the card backs they come in are huge, can’t wait to show you! Soooo many gross out toys to come still, I’ve been trying to hint to them in the backgrounds ;)
Another good episode! Just what I needed to see. More glorious gross plastic
I couldn’t have said it better myself! Never enough glorious gross plastic! … or rubber…or foam… or slime!
Great video mate, a few things iv never noticed in mad balls, Great editing as always buddy. Keep it coming mate. 😊
Another great episode dude can’t wait to see the next one great job 👏🏻
Another dope video! 🙌🏻 🤢🤢🤮🤮🤢🤢😄😄
Another 6 mins of disgustingly delicious eye candy! I can't get enough of how slick your collection is displayed. There's a few additions that need to be made to my eBay saved searches after this one😆
Great vid! I had a few Breath Blasters and Madballs as a kid. Have you seen the new Madballs figures from Premium DNA? They look amazing and are being released here in Oz by Popcultcha. Can’t wait.
I have, they are amazing! Especially the ‘splitting headache’ from wave 1. Love the colours. All these new/old retro throwbacks are too tempting. I’ll have to stick to just vintage or I’ll go completely broke ;)
Love the history in gross out toys. Im sure Don Martin also wrote for MAD magazine later on 🤔 Short and sweet are these episodes mate ❤
Yeah short and sweet by design. I’m just swamped with uni and work atm, so the plan was to keep things within a simple formula and shorter videos so that I can still be producing some content at least ;)
Another well put together and super interesting episode Leigh 😂 Have to say Rude Ralph was my fav 😍 😊👍
I think I found my original rude Ralph with you Andrew. Digging through a tub at second childhood toys, if you remember? he was missing his eye so I eventually upgraded, but he is such a fun toy.
@@FOMOTOYS sorry Leigh, its Matt here. Sadly I havent had to pleasure to meet you face to face yet. Andrew tells me about his GI Joe purchases and what a good guy u are 😊👍 hopefully we can meet soon 😊
@keeponcollecting ohhh my bad! Sorry Matt ;) yeah I just got Andrews message before I saw this. Hopefully I can get down to another NSW event and meet you in person soon.
Another banger
First! Looking forward to watching this…
Another great instalment. Your collection is museum quality. I’d never seen those weird ball figures before. Were the breath blasters a hard line to complete? I’d heard they were extremely hard to find. They look fantastic together, lovely sculpts
@cloudvectors breath blasters we’re really hard line to collect, I saw quite a few of them in Japan but wherever they are the prices are always high! I got lucky and followed a few eBay auctions that ended up going for great prices. Finding carded examples is near impossible and I’ve only seen listings over $1000 AUD!!! Way too much for me :( …I’m still on the hunt for ‘victor vomit’.
@@FOMOTOYS Do they still smell gross?! I remember seeing them go for crazy prices about 10 years ago, can’t imagine how pricey they’ve got now
@@cloudvectors Probably a good thing that they don't smell at all anymore. Rumour is they were so bad that toy stores removed or refused to sell them because customers avoided walking down the aisle they were in. Which affected the sales of anything else in close proximity.
Im heading to Osaka in May. Hoping to pick up some vintage kinnikuman stuff!!
So awesome! in my experience the best deals are always the hobby off / book off style second hand shops. Safe travels and happy hunting :)
@@FOMOTOYS hey just wondering how much were those larger size kinnikuman figures. They look to be 8-12 inches.
@cys-fi6230 ooooo testing my memory now… roughly anywhere between $30-60AUD ea? but like I said the best deals were always second hand stores and like every collectable depends on popular characters/ condition etc etc. I just looked in my cabinet and one of the box sets I bought still has its price tag for approx. $40AUD from a hobby off. The big figures are about 6” tall
