Fuji made them on special order. We get them through our connections with the All American Sambo association. Only a few of the Sambo schools are able to get them.

I'm a BJJ/Judo student but I've always thought that the red Sambo kurtkas looked so cool. I wish Fuji would market them more.

@@WhitegirlslayerXBesides the lapels on the shoulders they also have built in belt loops so the belts thread through the kurtka. It helps to prevent belts coming loose during throws. Every gi should have that feature. We have a video compilation on our channel from a combat sambo competition we did, you can see it better.

You can finish the triangle without figure-fouring your leg. That is what we were working on during this particular class. (There is a video on it we posted just before this one). It’s for those who are trying to triangle when you either have shorter legs or your opponent is bigger.

Pro at anything is literally doing something full-time and getting paid for it. You don't need to hang with a UFC champion to be pro. He clearly is a pro fighter, even though he isn't at the top-tier level.

Per definition, there's only one real distinction between amateur and professional and that's the professional can use proceeds from participating in the sport - either through wages, tournament winnings or endorsements - to make a living playing that sport as their primary income. But yeah, I agree that he isn't elite.

@@lovelife1867 It seems you heavily misunderstand what pro means. It's not just a synonym for "very good" It's short for professional which means they make a living from it. That's it. You don't really get an opinion as to whether he's considered a pro or not.

The goal is always use with control and slow pressure. Trying to injure your team mate doesn’t help anyone. The guys that rip submissions in training usually get kicked out of gyms. We always remind everyone especially with Sambo leg locks to go slow, knees are not as forgiving as elbows.
