Knock at the cabin was soooo disappointing

The Watchers movie was really good. It was a slow burn at the beginning, but it was action packed from the middle to end.

To tell you the truth, I don’t think I like endings the way that the book did. The movie was rather interesting showing that there was an apocalypse going on, and the family managed to put an end to it. It would’ve been very emotional if Wen was killed so it seemed better that if one of those three people had to die, it would’ve had to have been one of the dads. I didn’t care which one they killed off, and since there most definitely was an apocalypse going on it was very important that they managed to put it all to an end.

I like this movie, and I look forward to seeing an anthology of movies about the story’s lore.

Except in the book Daniel's death was so much more gorey/traumatic as the watchers are going to 'take their time 'playing with him'.

It was also the Queen’s fault as well. The same way how she pulled rank on General Okoye when she stripped her of her title and status is the same way how she should’ve done that when she first told Okoye no. SHE allowed Okoye to take her on that mission. SHE is the Mother AND the Queen. She should’ve also taken accountability. Also, the fact that no one in that throne room except for her father defended her also pissed me off. Even then, her own father didn’t do or say enough to defend her. The only thing he brought up was the fact that she raised a spear against her husband. That’s the LEAST greatest thing she did. General Okoye is the same woman who took care of Wakanda when Queen Ramonda stepped away from the world and her people. She did this for 5 WHOLE YEARS! She represented Wakanda when their Queen could not. After N’Jadaka threw King T’Challa over the falls, Okoye, was the ONLY ONE of the Dora Milaje who didn’t solute in respect to him. This is because of 2 main reasons: 1. She didn’t accept that the challenge was complete nor that the King was defeated. One had to accept the completion of the challenge in order to fully accept a new ruler as either King or Queen. 2. T’Challa was more than just her King. He was also her best friend. If y’all pay close enough attention to their relationship dynamic, you’ll find evidence of this. So, she also couldn’t accept that her best friend was truly gone. Even in Infinity War, when T’Challa was snapped away, she still couldn’t accept it. Another thing that many failed to pay attention to is that after N’Jadaka took the throne, when they all gathered in the throne room, General Okoye was THE ONLY PERSON to challenge and go AGAINST King N’Jadaka’s plans. To which her own husband standed AGAINST HER in favor of a madman. Okoye, truly was alone in that scene. Not to mention, her duties as a Dora Milaje were also in conflict with her morals. Sad that Queen Mother Ramonda never got to learn the full truth of what really happened that day.

Watch the new series w/Jake Gyllenhaal. The whole cast is great.

No. Movie was trash lol the book was so much better. Literally nothing should’ve been changed and the movie would’ve been 5/5 stars

If it was just ~magic juice~ that provided powers then those women wouldn't have gotten pregnant - and if that's all it did, why would it specifically seek out women to make children, and not just provide the powers to adults?? 😂 Love the passion!!

No leash means no control at all... like the scene with the people walking their German Shepard. The idea was to leave without incident. Like they did in the forest with the dog. And yeah, Caesar said he felt like a pet when they encountered the dog. The movie then shows us further disconnect when left in horrible conditions away from Will and he never understood why. Will didn't see the change that happened, and so Will acted the same while also having his own Father on his mind. The movie literally lays out every mistake made and really doesn't leave anything up for interpretation.

Because the heroes don’t want to lose their quirks? Most of the heroes have already been quitting, there are only so many left that could even stand a chance of surviving, and having more heroes means more quirks he can steal/put the heroes out of commission.

Ikr? They made sokka pc which completely ruins his character arc with suki, they wanted Aang to be “serious” and “focused on being the avatar” despite his whole arc through season one being a funky goofball who specifically wants to run away from the mantle of the avatar. So many struggles and character developments stifled to make the show more “appealing” but then it ends up appealing to no one. So sad to see another mismanaged IP, this could’ve been amazing

One thing I have learned over the years though, is that you do need to let the book and adaptations stand as their own separate things at times. Look at the recent takes on the Rings of Power, or the GOT finale, to see how a book fanbase responds to different content if you get too worked up on it.
