Wow!
Another amazing video
Hi
nice quality harry
Nice video
I really enjoyed this video. Your camera positioning is excellent, and your use ot the Zoom feature by slowly zooming out as the train approaches is smooth and well executed. Well done Harry 👏 👍
Thanks John, I really appreciate your comments!
@@hazptmedia you're very welcome Harry 👍
I didn't know there was a West Richmond station. I never even thought where these Welly Parade tracks went
Lmao
This is an excellent high-quality video with great camera angles and positioning. The picture and audio quality is crisp and clear. Well done Harry 👏 👍
Thanks for the comment John!

Cool!
Cool video!😊
It turns out, only a week after I published this video; More information on the Doncaster Park & Ride upgrades have been released. Here is some information on it: engage.vic.gov.au/doncaster-park-and-ride-upgrade

Nice effort mate , another option I guess would have been the taxi rank , probably cost you 20 bucks ro go two minutes up the road though :) .. It's funny as a young bloke decades ago I lived around the corner in Richmond , I didn't mind going into the city back in those days , in my old age I cant stand the place . my last time in the city I went by car to one of the big camera places to look at an expensive camera , finding a park close to the shop was an absolute pain , I left without looking at the camera . some might say , why didn't you take public transport , firstly I didn't want to carry an expensive camera and accessories on PT, secondly im old and don't walk too well these days . The taxi may have been the best option , but getting a taxi on a Friday in and then getting one out of the city again on a Friday , it's just hooorible. I just avoid the city like the plague now.
Wow!
*insert generic comment about not getting stabbed at Broady*
Was there at night too 😅
Hi
Cool!!
Western busway plan future
I do believe theres going to a bus interchange like this outside greensborough station as well. thats currently under construction, so cant wait to see what theyll turn it into. good video btw!
I’ve been in Wyndham 300 and that’s the biggest number for CDC Wyndham
Should have just done the tram that was proposed down the centre of the eastern fwy
Big whoop, we have a busway, Sydney has a metro
Don’t forget that we are also getting the Metro Tunnel, and possibly, Suburban Rail Loop
@@hazptmedia thanks, I do realise this but I really want the airport rail link asap.
The question is what are they going to do with all the increased traffic on Hoddle Street? All the buses from the busway and cars will need to go somewhere sooooo what gives 🤔 hrmmm
only good thing coming out of the NEL for pt
I thought I'd heard a steamer tooting in Camberwell. Where can I book?
This was in 2022, you can book these trains at steamrail.com.au
@@hazptmedia Thank you. 👍
@@hazptmedia Thank you. 👍
Pro tip : less panning speed and zooming also. Make you dizzy on a big screen.
Thanks for your feedback.
Nice video, I’m glad someone took a closer look at this it’s been open for almost a year and a half. At the moment it seems strange and over the top for so few bus routes
Well said! Hopefully, the Park & Ride facility will get more routes once the new busway is completed.
Another project to send Victoria Broke. Where does all this communist money come from ? China !
It would be good for a dedicated light rail to run on the same corridor to supplement the buses and the legacy trams that don't go through the same areas. Buses are still a very good start though compared to more car lanes
Very well spoken and informative. I can tell this was well researched. Considering the buses already use the Eastern, the dedicated busway isn’t necessarily ‘changing’ much, but will give buses dedicated space, avoiding traffic, which will be good for trip times and punctuality. Whilst critics say that they should just build a train (which they probably should have a long time ago), this will definitely provide a great boost to the existing Eastern Freeway bus services, and potentially reduce the need for a heavy rail system (which is much more expensive than making a lane in a road). The exclusion of the route 200 bus to the main road outside the P&R is certainly a questionable and definitely nonsensical decision, but it is the government! It’s a shame the busway will never see quality bus services run by proper local businesses or a government operation.
5:46: What is this music?
This is great example of how to waste tax payers money for providing no longer term value for people living in the eastern suburbs. This should have always been a rail corridor for Melbourne being able to move a lot more people a lot quicker to the city. As time goes on and population density increases this will become a massive pain point transportation bottleneck neck. Labour big build sugar fix hit.
The issue with a rail corridor would be the price. A rail corridor would certainly be the preferred option, but the state is spending copious amounts of money on other projects such as Metro Tunnel and MARL. At least for now, the Busway will provide much more reliable and faster services than the existing DART buses. Additionally, the median route is preserved for a possible future rail connection. Doncaster is also proposed to have a new SRL station as part of SRL North in the future.
spending great gobs of cash on a bus route is foolish. it should have been a railway. and not just a melbourne style slow as buggery railway (they are all slow in melbourne) but a push you back in the seat fast railway. do it properly. do it once. all that rubber off the bus tyres entering the atmosphere, washing into rivers, us humans breathing in the microscopic particles. this is a ballsup.
Although a heavy rail connection would be preferable, a busway provides a similar product for more than a sixth of the price. The median of the Eastern Freeway is still restored for future reservation. Also, the suburb of Doncaster is due to get a SRL station with connections around Melbourne as part of the proposed SRL North. In reference to your concerns about the rubber tires, buses are still considerably better than Private Car Transport, which is currently the most common way in which people travel along the Busway corridor. A car can generally carry a maximum of 3-7 people, although generally carry less. A bus can generally carry up to 50-150 people depending on the type of bus.
@@hazptmedia Doncaster is not due to get an SRL until 2043! We are so far behind Sydney its not funny.
Cool video, Harry!😊
depends on how fast you walk. i can walk from flinders street station to Melbourne central in 5-7mins
Amazing!
I found this very interesting, and as a non-resident of Melbourne, I have never ridden a bus in your fair city. This busway will be an exciting venture for Melbourne. The bus station featured here seems to have been built with future expansion in mind and more bus routes, hence the Myki readers and top-up machine. The lower car park seems to be activated by motion, with the lights coming on while you were moving about. Excellent presentation, well done Harry 👏 👍
Thanks for your comment John! That is probably the case.
@HazptMedia you're very welcome Harry 👍
Awesome! Can't believe how fast it got finished.
Great video, very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video
Awesome video, Harry!😁
9:32 and 9:41 sounds like an F1 car for some reason
Yeah not sure what was up there haha!
The first train drove past for the fair well and it's the comeng train last lap around Melbourne for the last time before getting scrapped
What an amazing video that brought back many memories. I visited this museum in 1975, and at the time, it was hoped that the trams would return to the streets of Ballarat as a tourist service, operating from the train station and possibly to Sovereign Hill. This obviously hasn't happened and probably never will. The W class has always been my favourite Melbourne tram, especially during the days of the "trolley pole" when "de-wiring" was a common occurrence and the manual points changes were the norm. Fun fact: When Sydney received their first tram tracks from England to test for a possible horse tram system, they were installed upside down, which caused mayhem because other horse-drawn wagons would sometimes overturn when crossing the track and pedestrians would trip over them. The scheme was abandoned very quickly and deemed unsafe. Sydney eventually came to their senses and built the largest tramway system in the world. Unfortunately, madness returned, and the last Sydney tram ceased operation in 1961. Great video Harry, well done 👏 👍
Glad to hear that John. I love the W class trams as well, they’re so iconic. It’s a shame Sydney didn’t keep their trams though, I might visit the Sydney Tramway Museum if possible when I visit later this year.
@HazptMedia you're very welcome, Harry 👍 I am sure you would enjoy the Sydney tramway museum at Loftus, and it has a W class tram just waiting for you.
