Hoe did you decide on the exposure for your camera? Is it unbiased, or is it based on ine of the projected images?

I'm using x2-4k almost for a year, it shows more than 920 hours tracked as active now. I think it was the best buy I made for the last year. It perfectly fits my room and I've ~120" picture on the white wall with about 2m throw distance, and then after the projector stand there's a bed where we enjoy games and movies from Xbox. The sound and picture is great. And I really like how it performs in gaming. The review here is missing an input lag test and usually laser projectors are worse in that. While it's related, that's not the same as refresh rate. To learn the difference, imagine that you're using a conveyor belt for parcel delivery - the refresh rate is how many boxes you can put on the belt per second. The input lag is a time it takes for the box to go from the beginning to the end, i.e. while it may be moving incredibly fast, the belt might be extremely long. The only drawback I can notice is disappointingly outdated OS and a "smart" shell. In the 2024 when you can buy an Android TV stick for less than $50 with all the smart capabilities, having THAT in $1700 device is just a shame. While the projector has WiFi, there's only some sort of the custom abandoned app store that even doesn't have a RUclips app, the casting is never working (except from the RUclips), the remote control doesn't work like a pointer (I wish it's something like LG Magic remote or Air Mouse), Bluetooth output mode can find none of the devices I've tried. So, in short, it's useless, better think of it as a display with a speaker, not a media station at all. They better include nothing "smart" except the Bluetooth Speaker feature it has (cause it's really good thanks to Harman Kardon) and reduce a price a bit. But overall, I'm very satisfied 😊

The formovie has a significantly lower black floor which you can clearly see in the video comparison. That helps tremendously with contrast. The formovie looks much better. The ls650 has a grey background when it’s supposed to be black

Regarding game mode - if it turned on, does it work with keystone/corners correction? Does it increase an input lag? Thanks

Sadly, you can see the rainbow effect when he's flipping through the menus in the beginning. This is something I want to avoid. I might have to go with a 3LCD projector which will cost more, like the Epson L570U or Sony VPL-PHZ51 which don't have native 4k resolution.

Does it use optical or digital keystone? This is really important to me ...

Great review. I'm in the market for a projector but it really is difficult to make a decision. I'm torn between the Beng W4000i, the Viewsonic X-1 4K and the Epson EH- LS650. My main concern with the DLP projectors is the rainbow effect. The only way to tell is to see them in person. What's your preferred choice for cinema viewing in a darkened room?

HiSense still using that awful menu where you need to click about 6 times just to change picture mode. And that irritating energy warning still can't be switched off every time you go into picture settings.😢

There's no good reason to mention the 3500 lumens (marketing bs) it's not watchable in that mod, the real usable brightness below 2000.

why do companies invest time and money into developing their own OS when Google is already there? I guess to save money but then guess what in s few years your model will stop being supported and do you want an OS update? Sure just buy our new model
