I decided to make another Half-Life 2 cover, but this time for Tau-9 or Drums n Riffs from the original Half-Life soundtrack. I'll definitely work on some more post rock stuff in the future but here's this for now!

This is my cover and reimagining of the track Triage At Dawn from the Half-Life 2 soundtrack to celebrate the release of Half-Life Alyx. Hope you like it!
Would not be out of place in the Mechwarrior 4 series soundtrack.
This is really nice work. I would have believed it if when someone played this for me they said it was If These Trees Could Talk.
Whether your a Dominian soldier in a legendary military unit fighting for an emperor, or a person that is fighting for a resistance against an interdimensional empire alongside Gordon Freeman, this song brings both communities together.

i want to love this but the off-note at the end of the main riff is messing with me edit: I think I was just being a perfectionist, this is probably one of the best covers out there and I liked it after I posted the comment but didn't delete it so as to keep the conversation going. it adds a cool ring to it
Fair enough. I intended the off-kilter sound of it to reflect the chaos of the Half-Life world as it fades off, but to each their own. Thank you for your comment!
i absolutely love the open mindedness of the rock and metal community to accept individual opinions and whatnot. after listening to it enough times i'm cool with it, but even at first you were ok with my criticism and even welcomed it. you are amazing

That's incredible. The original Triage At Dawn is so melancholic and sad and most post-rock compositions have the same mood. And unlike Triage At Dawn post-rock songs have duration 5-6 minutes or even more and has no vocal. Now when you put it together you get best combination and perfect sound. Author of this cover compositon made a very great work. Thank you so much for this.
