This film was made the year I was born. I haven't seen it for at least 20 years and it's not the way I remembered it. I'm probably getting old.

the scene where General Savage reads the riot act to derelict Col. Gately is the best "acting" I have ever seen. Peck is ferocious....and Hugh Marlow is literally quivering in anger.

I firmly believe, and this is only my humble opinion, that this film marked the official end of film noir in American cinema...the hallmark of this post-war Lost Angeles slow dance lies in the one hundred and fifteen times the name Larry Cravat is mentioned. This plot is more confusing than "Fathers Day" in Sunnyside in San Francisco.

I like this a lot more than most horror movies from the last 50 or so years.

‘Did you have fun?’ ‘I had more fun drinking a Bromo seltzer’. For those youngsters out there, it was a competitor to Alka seltzer. But it turns out it was toxic because it had sodium bromide in it.

Love seeing the LA train station. I was a commuter and saw it all the time. I don’t remember shower rooms in the 2000s. Must been taken out a long time ago.

The story line moves at a snails pace I gave up on it...........

My uncle was a B-17 pilot. He and his crew were lost on a sortie mission on April 24, 1944. He's buried in Saint Laurent, France. His brother, my father was a US Naval officer stationed at Pearl during the Japanese attack. He served the entire war in the Pacific theater. I'm named after my uncle. I'm honored to be related to both of them.

No wonder Schweinfurt was such a disaster - according to this film, the Germans had P47 Squadrons as well as late war Spitfires. Great film, though.

This is a great movie. And the digital restoration has really made the wartime footage fit in with the film shot specifically for the movie. Before, you could tell the difference, but now it's seamless. It doesn't get much better.

Millard Mitchell was spot-on a the commanding officer. He was always good at being in charge. He was even the studio boss in 'Singing In The Rain".

This was enjoyable and well acted. The sets were sufficiently castley and the story was tight. Right up until the very end I would have given it a 7. Now that I've seen it, I'd give it a 6.

When I was in high school Boris Karloff passed away and my class mates expressed their condolences to me. And I had never seen this movie before, thank you so much for sharing it.

In Amerika ist alles möglich, es ist ein perverses Volk ohne Gesetze, die das Volk selbst verteidigen. Es ist ein Land voller Intrigen, Korruption und grausamer Missbräuche. Ich kann nicht glauben, dass kein europäischer Staat diese Sekten verbietet. Mittlerweile weiß jeder, was in den Sekten passiert und viele haben ihre Familien und ihr Leben verloren. In Sekten werden Menschen in schreckliche Maschinen verwandelt und niemand unternimmt etwas, um sie zu verteidigen.

Why doesn't the channel owner put a brief synopsis about the movies he uploads? I'm tired of having to search for it myself.

Of course General Savage was the protagonist and focus of the movie, and the supporting players seemed to be individual antagonist in the beginning of the film, but in the end they were the heroes - Maj. Stovall, Sgt. Mclllhenny, Maj. Cobb, Lt. Bishop, and Lt. Col. Gately. I've been watching this great war picture since the 70's and enjoy each viewing like it was the first time. The featured song is with me forever.

Lucky me to see the movie, over,and over, and over again. I volunteer at the Hill Air Force Base Museum. One of the gentlemen I work with,his dad was a tail gunner in the infamous Bloody 100th bomb group. I feel proud to know him. D Rector.

Still watching in 2024! A great movie. Our airmen are not given as much attention as their army counterparts but their contribution to the war effort as well as their sacrifice was vital to the final victory. May those who didn't come home RIP. And those who came home, but were never the same, I pray they found comfort somehow. Thank you for the great upload.

I love old Hollywood films! The English spoken in this movie is most formal and beautiful . One can learn a lot!

I like to see world War two movie .this movie was very excited

I've seen several of these character actors before: old man Conroy, the bartender, and the cop Kendal. The one I finally remembered is the first: he plays the free lance plastic surgeon in Dark Passage, who gives the escaped prisoner Humphrey Bogart's face.

Mr. Peck's acting is strong for this period. As well, this movie has some amazing real footage (WWII air combat and the Flying Fortress (sound as well)). No love story; no female contributions...a fair depiction of the post WWII era. Liked it.

Great Britain never would have won the war if it wasn't for the US coming in.
