Leaving Camp Muir just after 2:30am, we climbed through the night and made it to the top of the Disappointment Cleaver reaching an elevation of 12,300 ft. We were turned around because a ladder had fallen into a crevasse making the final section above the DC impassible. We will be back next June to make an attempt when conditions are likely to be better.
