saw Leith Ross's tiktok this afternoon where she plays this song, and it reminded me how much I like it and how gentle it is and inspired me to make a cover
in true airhead fashion I forgot to bring my guitar home from California, so we're working with the little tiny acoustic one until the next time I go back. It still plays well, albeit one particular string does sound off because I tuned it by ear for this song but it's probably fine (if it's not lmk)

Such a unique song. Reminds me kinda of a song I wrote with some similar themes --- suicide mixed with various imagery. I also wrote a poem one time about school shooters, although that's different because in my poem the narrator is the shooter (which is kinda fucked up tbh but that's the intention for the poem). I like the fingerstyle arrangement too with the walking bassline.
