Great video thanks
Forrest, the 02 community is very fortunate to have your knowledge and resources to parts.
Nice overview!
Great vid. Side note, i love those flares and now im changing my mind on going turbo flares 🤦♂️
This is great Forrest, Thanks!
Glad i watched this. I struggled with those supposed OEM U nuts that have completely the wrong hole location.
And yes, no need to correct , I misspoke (it's all a lot to get out in one take) & said Euro cars had "sealed beam" ...but only US cars had sealed beam bulbs and the Euro cars had replaceable bulb halogens! (we also sell the H4 conversion lamps for US market cars)
I made mine out of solid mahogany.
'Ol Forrest torquing that blinker like its the head bolt, lol. good job. Those markers are sweet
I’ve had the page open to get a high mount long for probably 3 years… you’ll ship to New York?
Yes! we ship worldwide!
Should’ve gotten it when I lived in Santa Rosa but good I’m glad I didn’t blow it!
Great review Forrest. Much appreciated.
We’re can I ordered ?
Maximilian Imports, Saul will help you !
This is super appreciated. I'm working on a '72 roundie and your advice is helping!
I'm restoring a '72 roundie. Thank you for the explanation...my car doesn't have the original hood...now I have to check if it's matching for the year. This is super helpful!
I would like to see if I can paint some horizontal slates black.
💃 promosm
I would love to see a look at the new door assemblies
I installed the outer door skins and am quite happy with how they fit , So I assume the complete doors are going to be good too , link to video ruclips.net/video/X0-JFZJFgNc/видео.html

You do a really great job!! I've owned numerous 2002's and 1600's and have restored them. You have great skills and unique tools!! Keep up the great work!!
Wonder how many seconds on the house they are going to cost
Well done guys!
I like it.
Amazing work, Forrest!
I love hand crafted work... thumbs up!
this is really great Forrest / thanks - i just got mime console from you a couple days ago and look forward to getting installed. thanks
well done forrest and team. Beautiful craftsmanship
You stole the lemur from the zoo, didn’t you?! Great story and execution!
Cool little design
How do they hold up on a windy day outside? I guess it depends on how windy...
We've had really good luck with these not "self releasing" even under really windy conditions. both the hood has to flop forward and back, as well as BOTH hinges pushed over-center, to close the hood.
For some that can’t find the piece they have no options, great review!
Thanks for helping the community
Only bad part I didn’t see was the lack of using self etching primer when the holes where drilled on the actual car panel and covering the air dam under the connecting part to the body with the self etching primer so it would be sealed and protected from the elements . Hope he likes rust
I agree! and/or coating the threaded insert with a body cavity wax would offer similar protection.
@@forrestkooglewerks4148 didn’t know that I figured wax would melt with the temperature we are known to have lately with temps over 100 my outdoor candles melt like water.
Wonderful video! You're turning me into a "Car Gal" and I love it! Your presentation, your clear instruction, your camera person: all great!!!
Wow a lot of details that add up here. I’m going to be restoring my 69 thank god it’s got original sheet metal and never been hit. Makes it far easier to restore than trying to use non factory pieces
thx Forrest, for all your inspiration, are there already 02 in germany that drive around with one of your air dams?, well the other parts are also very great ;-), i'm happy to see this on the vehicles. If shipping to Germany is possible, I must order a few parts :-) Greetings Steffen
What's that first shaping tool called with the point?
It’s a “tipping die” setup, running in our Pullmax P3. (Universal reciprocating sheet metal machine)
@@forrestkooglewerks4148 thanks forrest. always wanted a spoiler like yours but for an e36 and i may go about trying to massage my own. That or im just gonna glass one. I dont how almost all of them stop and the trunk line. The over hang is a nice touch. Thanks for replying your stuff is truly art.
@@forrestkooglewerks4148 The curved line always blew my mind. Now i kinda see how it works!
Great video. I will email you since I am looking for one
Want one of these for my '02. Can anyone link me to some gauges that will fit?
Great video - thanks !
Do not worry about a tii with a "snorkel" on the front panel. I have had my 1975 02 tii Lux since 1980. The front panel was replaced in the 1990's and at that time there was no mention of the difference in the front panels. I doubt any dealer, when asked to supply a front panel for an 02, would have known there was a difference. Needless to say mine has a "snorkel". The tii front panel, as far as I am aware, is NLA and probably has been for some considerable time. There is also the point that the internet went public in 93 but was not used by most people for some time after that. When did we all start looking at 02 "boards"? In other words, most of us who owned 02's, tii or not, were blissfully unaware of any difference in the front panel!
I like the title budgettii.
Oh wow this is a stunning level of craftsmanship 😍
I’ve bought a bunch of interior parts from you. Top notch! I do have a technical question. My rpm, fuel, and temp guages are jumpy. From what I’ve read it’s a bad ground. Have you ran into this before?
Try cleaning the earth in the boot. Take the panel off over the fuel tank and you'll see it. Solved my jumping temp. gauge - not sure about the others.
Beautiful
Lovin' it!
Looking forward to seeing this build
The Euro turn signals look very nice. I have NEVER understood WHY so expensive !
Love mine and this video made sure it was installled without damage - Thanks Forrest
