My collection of player piano rolls from 1920s to some modern music. This collection of piano rolls started when I was three years old, when my Dad bought this piano at a local antique store. Today, it’s very hard to find new piano rolls, but I keep looking to make the collection grow bigger. Some songs could be corny for some people, but not for those who grew up with these songs.
A player piano is a self-playing piano containing a pneumatic or electro-mechanical mechanism, that operates the piano action via programmed music recorded on perforated paper or piano roll.
Starting December 5 2024, new videos are posted on this channel on Wednesday and Thursday mornings CDT. I record two videos a week. If a piano roll is a long play (has more than one song), then there will be only one video on Thursday morning for the week.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Magnificent roll!
Best version of this tune ever! I have it, you have it, like 3 other people I know have it, it's easily one of the most popular rolls!
@@PiotrBarcz Yes I do like this roll as well.
Yay!! You uploaded!!! It’s great bro!!!!! Keep up the great work!! How much I would love to meet you!!❤❤
What a sweet little treasure 😊
I've got this exact same roll on Imperial 09292
Interesting. I was curious about when this was written, and this is what I found out: 1877. The only piece ever published by Euphemia Allen. She was 16 years old at the time. And it was originally called The Celebrated Chop Waltz.
Just a suggestion, I would turn the tempo up by about 5 to 10 feet per minute because the wind motor is struggling to maintain a steady tempo. Suits the tune still but will make it run smoother. Might want to check how well the slide valves in the wind motor are moving, if they're binding, check if there's roughness on the inside of the guides.
I love the sound of the piano :)

My favorite Neil Diamond song
My pianos(1912) name is Zelda!
“I’m through with taking falls. And bouncing off the walls! Without that gun I’d have some fun…” - Who Framed Roger Rabbit, same tune.
A big hit for Pat Boone in the late 50s.
I always listen to this. Keep up the good work man❤
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy it!

The musical simplicity of this arrangement puts the genius of the melody into focus.
Incredible. This brings back memories to listening to this on repeat in middle schools. Thanks bro!

Play this song at 1.5 speed, it makes it just *feel* right.
You're a nice little fellow I know by your voice But, you're Always so Far Away 🎶🎶🎶
There's a special place in my Heart for Little Sir Echo . 💗
DORIS DAY had a hit with this song. She married some real scoundrels. Whatever it was for Doris was pretty nasty.

I've often seen these types of self playing piano devices in cartoons but never in real life. Such a novel idea
lovely!
Okay, what the heck is this thing? Edit: I think it's a player piano? Anyway, you have been blessed by the algorithm; brace yourself.
@@SupersuMC yes you’re right. It is a player piano.
I love this specific roll so much! 🎵
J Lawerence Cook was the master of piano roll recorders. His arrangements are classics.
woooow beautiful
I agree!
How many hands would it take to play this 😂
@@kpearson3181 At least three or four hands.
@@dcaj4 Is it a duet
@@venzodon8979 I would think so.
never seen lyrics on a piano roll before!! very cool
@@saltedmutton7269 Lyrics on piano rolls are very common. There are quite a few rolls that don’t have lyrics.
This is honestly the best thing I’ve seen today. Thank you.

A piano roll player doesn't have a soft pedal or a loud pedal does it? Nice tune though.
Very jolly 😃🎹🎶👍
