His debut for Southampton in the Premier league was at Goodison Park the season they got relegated they won 2-1 I think he was man of the match and he looked a good player that day. I think he is a No8 but can play in several different roles but at 8 he can join up the defence and attack as he carries the ball well and has a pass in him. I think he would be wasted as a No10 with his work rate but he can play there as well. I feel sorry for James Garner because i think he played the 8 role really well against Leicester but i also like Garner at right back or right wing back so there could be a place in the team for him. A lot easier than I think most people thought. Bit of a flukey 1st goal but that gave us the impetuous to go on and win with style. It looks like Moyes has never been away in a typical Moyes tactical game at home. Good energy high press strong in the tackling. Thought Garner had a great game for his 1st start since the injury and Beto showed great composure in both of his finishes which shows that Dyche ball with his back to goal is not his game. The ball by Tarkowski for his 1st goal was impressive didn't think he had that in his bag. And the ball from Garner showed how to use Beto if he stays at the club. Hopefully we can keep the good form up and score a few goals against a team that does let a few in most games. Ndiaye is my choice for the first goal and 3-1 to us. Sounds like we have got Carlos Alcaraz from Flamenco on loan till the end of the season with a view buy if he reaches set targets. I don't think this is a "must" win it's a we should win as if we draw we keep the 6 point gap with Leicester. And with Ipswich playing Southampton and Wolves playing Aston Villa that would keep a good distance with the chasing pack if they fail to win. We really should be looking up now and with a few incoming players I think a good mid table finish is definitely on the cards. Dewsbury Hall is a no brainer if we could take him with Broja going back to Chelsea that would suit both clubs with their and our PSR problems. He could replace Doucoure who's legs have gone and he would be a good alternative. We also need a good striker who? Hopefully he can help with the crossing its been woeful since McNeil got injured. I believe Everton are in discussion with Chelsea about taking Dewsbury Hall if we send Broja back as a loan swap as we can't have another with him at the club. I really really like Dewsbury Hall I think he would be a good fit and become a fans favourite within a few games and hopefully have an option to make it permanent if he does well. Ndiaye DCL I'd play Mangala for the 1st half to keep a clean sheet then put Harrison on the left going from a 3-4-2-1 to a 3-4-3 but what do I know I'm sure Moyes will have a plan it's his 700th game as a manager so he know what's needed against a very good Brighton side.

Another hard game they seem to be coming every week but we seem to play better against the teams higher in the league. It's a game I would be happy with a point but if we don't let them hit us on the break when we have an attack I think we could and should come home with something. Ndiaye has a big part to play in this one as he can make them wary of pushing up to much with his counter attacking style. Very decent performance everything Dyche ball didn't do. Pride in the shirt attacking ideas whilst still being strong in defence the crowd enjoining the game singing and urging the players on. David Moyes is a big upgrade from what we had hopefully he can point the club into what type of players he thinks we need and also give the youngsters a run out every now and then because we have a good crop of strikers and with DCL being the only one (that is if Beto goes to Italy) we need to strengthen in attack. First half was same old same old. Second half I thought we did a lot better should have had a penalty when Lindstrom was pushed when he was in the air when he had that header VAR should have looked at it but as far as I know they didn't. If it had been an Everton player you can bet your bottom dollar they would have ha ha conspiracy theories abound in my bitter blue mind. I would play 3 at the back Tarks Obrien Branthwaite with Patterson and Myckolenko as wing backs Idrisa as defensive mid Ndiaye at number 10 Harrison at left forward Lindstrom at right forward and Calvert Lewin striker. A hard start for Moyes but the atmosphere in Goodison Park should be electric it's always a good one against Villa. Watched Moyes Press conference and he looks in good spirit was open about the challenge he and we face but looked very confident he can turn things around quite quickly. It was an ok performance for a game we couldn't win with people saying we should beat them and if we didn't its another crisis at Everton. The system we played looked a lot more positive the wing backs looked good Patterson played well and the young lad Armstrong looks a little diamond some of the balls he played through their defence were Premier league class he is someone for Moyes to work with also I think Ndiaye will prosper with him as manager. So overall im a lot more confident that we can turn that corner that seemed miles away a couple of days ago. Well we all knew it was coming but it shouldn't have taken so long but we didn't have anyone in charge to do it till Tfg took charge. Moyes has been announced as manager and I wish him well but I think it's going to be a shortish regime as I think the game has passed him by. Don't get me wrong I like Moyes and really enjoyed the style of football we played under him total effort ,good players, and able to attack and defend properly. And we were a striker who could score 20 a season away from winning trophy's. But I think and hope Tfg have bigger targets in mind to take us onwards and upwards. Keep on keeping on mate UTFT.

Play the U21s give the 1st team a rest we aren't gonna go far in this competition and it would give the fans a look at the youngsters of which we have a good crop of strikers and midfielders. Not one shot on target not good enough no attacking ideas not acceptable no idea how to change the team at the right time no self criticism no sign of changing his tactics no sign of him being axed. We are the third worst team in the league and this is the first time I think we might do the unimaginable of being relegated he has to go now to give the fans belief in the team because there a a lot more that want him out than in so the Friedkin group need to listen and start their regime as they mean to go on not accepting second best as it says "Nothing but the best is good enough" NSNO as our motto states.

I think he should but he won't drop Jack Harrison because he is a work horse and does a lot of chasing back where Lindstrom doesn't and we are going to need that with Bournemouths attacking style. Every game we have played over the Christmas and new year has been a difficult one. I really like the brand of football Iraola's Bournemouth play high press at home counter attack away and they are really good at both id like him at Everton. But I'm worried that we will try and take the initiative and attack straight from kick off but i think we should keep the first 20 minutes tight at the back because if they score first I don't see us pulling it back. Ha ha its all doom and gloom with me I should make a new years resolution to be more positive but Dyche ball has ripped that mentally out of my head and threw it in the bin. This is game i think we can win. Forest are flying but our confidence should be sky high and they can't keep this form up (can they?) They play on the counter attack so its difficult to see how this game will play out as we aren't the team to do that to with us not being a high press team. Great news Isn't it mate they have been very professional in the way they have completed the transaction without talking to the press before they announced it and sent an open letter to the supporters which is how it should be. TFG are hugely wealthy I think I read there wealth over the last year increased by over 2 billion dollars so hopefully they can throw a bit of that on the squad without getting in trouble with the Premier league again. Alright mate why don't you do a post of how you became an Evertonian I support them because my dad took me to see them home and away and I got the bug. How long you have supported the blues what was your 1st game what's your match day routine and stuff like that. Id be interested to hear about your Everton history. The team I think we will play as much of a defensive team as we can and hope for the best. Chelsea are a top team and imo have a good outside chance of winning the Premier league.

Love the Christmas jumper mate. Another horrible fixture which I can't see us winning but i thought the same about the Arsenal game. Id settle for another bore draw but Chelsea's squad is so impressive and they have so many options to change the way they approach the games with substitutes when they see a weakness or space on the pitch they can use to their advantage. I'm in the camp of ok it's good news Moshri has finally ended his ownership and we should thank him for the very least building BMD. It wouldn't have happened without him let's remember the King's dock and Kirkby projects never even came close to fruition so thank you and goodbye. Now TFG everything I've read and heard has been positive they have a wide portfolio of businesses and are very successful running them and are profitable. So hopefully they can turn us around and get us back to the place we belong challenging for trophy's and playing in some European football. But it's a long way off yet so let's not all get over the top exited like we did when the last fella took charge and give them time to sort things out business wise and who's in charge of the team and when that happens and what we are allowed to spend. Great defensive performance but 1 chance in 90 minutes is really poor. But a point at the Emirates is one more than I and nearly every blue expected.
