omg yesss my dad was watching this movie and this part sounded so familiar. i had to look it up !
This piece brings back so many memories from my youth orchestra tour in Europe.
I found this coda very moving, and I discovered it when I was a music (theory) student, so I wrote a chapter of my thesis (vishnubachani.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Latent-Possibilities-of-the-Tonal-System.pdf) on the harmonic progression at the end of it. I also lectured on this coda and the coda of the first movement of the Sixth Symphony (ruclips.net/video/gOHTpsqlz-A/видео.html) a few years ago for the Bruckner Society of America (although my thesis chapter supersedes the insights of that old lecture). Comments and feedback are welcome!
