    In terms of airbnbs, you have to find an airbnb that has a portero (security guard) to manage who is coming in and out of the condo. And make sure that you're on the 3rd floor or higher.

    The City of Quito began to form 1000 years before Christ. Famous in the pre-Columbian period, for being adorned by tons of gold sculptures. Since 1534, the maximum expression of American Baroque.

I'm sorry about the fact that someone tried to break-in into your Airbnb at 3-4 AM. If you had to travel to a city or town, I would suggest to make sure to travel to a safe city on travel websites for tourism.

    How did you find driving around the country ? in terms of safety.

    • @mytrip2somewhere564
      @mytrip2somewhere564 Год назад

      I honestly expected driving to be way more dangerous than it was. Surprisingly, the drivers aren’t aggressive at all! The road conditions are fairly good unless you’re heading to village areas or through some specific areas of the national parks. When in traffic, you might see sudden or seemingly random actions on the road, since absolutely nobody uses turn signals and many completely ignore red lights. However, everyone drove smoothly, they weren’t aggressive, and I didn’t stress at all while driving there. Of course, things are slightly different for each and every driver, but I got used to it within the first hour. I’d say the most dangerous parts of driving were the curves in the roads and the chance of getting distracted by the unreal views during the drive. I shared more tips about driving in Ecuador here: mytrip2ecuador.com/driving-in-ecuador/

      I was there on September. It depends on the area you are planning to visit. In the video, it's mostly Andes region. June through September is considered to be the dry season but March is a wet season so expect more showers, though they won’t always happen every day (particularly in March and April).
