Its aproximately 30 minute walk from our hotel to the hospital. These are just some of the fun things we encounter along the way. I had to record at a quiet time of day for fear of being run over, or causing the viewer motion sicknes. Normally this intersection is 5 times more hectick :)

Can you tell how excited we are for fresh moutain air. In the distance there are beautiful hill side farms and step rice paddies. Up the road is the doctor who mans the health post from time to time.

who's cuter? the nepalese child or the baby goat in the doorway? the kid actually wandered in and around the health post but i was too slow with the camera to capture the adorable baby goat in action.

I must have had ants in my pants because I'm walking just slow enough for everything not to be a huge blurr... but this is the tour of the Pharping health post. Inside includes: doctor's desk, a bench for patients to sit on, medicine cabinet, a sharps bucket, a way to purify water, autoclave, medical health posters in Nepalese, and a view of the most beautiful countryside.

There was a lot of local foot traffic and women walking their goat herds. I was so excited to see the goats myself, I forgot to aim the video camera...

After the bus droped us off in a small town, we begin to hike UP this narrow road to get to the health post. The walk was amazing! About half way up the hill you could see the silhouette of the town behind us and the hillside farms ahead of us. Bon Jovi was playing in a little road side food joint (not pictured in the video).

My camera work is rarely good, but in this case, it's the bus's fault!! This bus ride began our day trip out of Kathmandu to a rural health post. The country side was beautiful and the video doesn't do it justice. The bars you see on the outside of the bus, would sometimes be occupied by the young man who collects fairs. He would bang on the side of the bus when he wanted the driver to stop and...
Wow there are birds in the background instead of honking horns!
What are those signs on that guy's cart at the 25-second mark of the video? "No yak crossing"?
Sounds like a lively conversation outside!
What's stopping him from hopping down?
Who needs turn signals when you have tail signals?
The sounds of honking cars in the background make me realize there must be tons of cars zipping around the city!
