@@roar8693 actually, I can and will make that claim. You call it a sign of the devil, I call it a way of saying hello. Jesus Himself said that "by their fruits you will recognize them." So instead of looking at the gesture I make with my hand (which isn't actually objectively satanic, you just see it that way for no reason in particular) - instead of evaluating that, why don't you evaluate the substance, the fruit? Is the teaching deceptive? Is my everyday life plagued with sin? Then you have something to say. By my fruit you will recognize me. Not by some hand gesture that offended you. God bless

More than anything, the intention of these verses is that we keep our minds and hearts open to God and His Words, and safely distant from anything that distracts (an idol), which the cross does not do. The basis (the deciding factor) is "by grace through faith, and not by works" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Nothing we can do on our own will save us, it's the grace of God that even makes our saving possible. That's the basis, the table setter. And then, with the time that remains in our lives, we live the best possible life we can to honor God (works). But it's not BY works, it's BY grace.

@@Mental.Health.Ministries I totally agree, by trusting Jesus Christ and his death for our sins, burial, and bodily resurrection. And believing that alone for eternal life which is guaranteed to the believer, that cannot be lost! I also think works come naturally to the person who is living by faith (the just shall live by faith, we walk by faith not by sight, etc) and that is pleasing to God. So the focus is always on Christ.

The reason I can't prove this specifically to you is because you have a misunderstanding. You said "your gods" which already shows you have no idea the God (singular, capitalized G) that I'm talking about. You don't know Him, and so if you saw Him (proof) you wouldn't recognize Him. When videos like this show up on your feed, when miracles take place, when God is at work in this world, you do not actually know Him, and so you call it a coincidence, because you know what a coincidence is. So the next step isn't for me to prove God's existence to you, the next step is for you to come to know Christ. Then you will recognize His obvious existence in this world🙏

In my lowest moments when I was the most judged and abused, God revealed to me that there is a difference between following Christians and following Christ. The evil of others does not disprove God, it just shows our need for Him.
