How do you decrease on a purl row on the armhole? I have to decrease 1 stitch on every row until I have done 10 rows.
This is very well explained, very helpful. Thankyou 😊
Decreasing two stitches in from the edge works well on a raglan style armhole where you want the left and right leaning stitches to show when seamed up, you wouldn't want to decrease that far from the edge if you had to sew in an ordinary sleeve though.
You lost me 😢
Not very plain bad lighting
I can not see LKC 19. -23
Inc 1st each end of next row then in every foll 6th row until 60 st then in every foll 8th row until there are 64sts
Exactly what I needed at the right time. Thank you so much. Well explained and great video.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. 😊
Hi just to clarify as a beginner knitter for a jumper when the instructions say decrease three stitches at the beginning of each alternate row to shape the armholes. Does it mean I cast off at the beginning of every second row? If I do this it may be something I am doing wrong. Would you kindly please explain how I can cast off the first 3 stitches at the beginning of each alternative row. Thank you. Excellent tutorial too.
❤
Thank you 🎉
Thank you
Hi just wondering how do you do cast off in purl can you help me please
Hi now do u cast off on purl side can u help please
👍👍🌸🌷
Thank you , that was great tutorial, I did exactly as you illustrated, and my work is much neater . I would like also to know how to pick up stitches round the neck. Thanks.
How do you decrease on a purl row?
No sound🤷🏻♀️
I wanted to know how to sew this up…not any help. Where is there other video to sewing up please?
Thank you so much this was really easy & very helpful for my first knitted baby cardigan 😊
Thank you for your feedback, greatly appreciated. Lona
Lona would you crochet stitch the sleeves & sides too on a knitted cardigan?
Thank you very much for your tutorial! I've been trying, for days now, to find a method of sewing the shoulder seams together on my finished knit summer "tee." Every video showed a method that is worked on sweaters done in Stockinette Stitch. However, the top section of my sweater was done in Seed Stitch, so I can't use their method. No one has yet been able to offer any solutions for this, other than "next time, add one more row and do it in all Knit stitches, rather than in Seed Stitch." That's fine for "next time," but I still need a solution for right now. Then I found your video! I love this idea of using a crochet hook, & I think it will work just fine on my top. 🥳 If I may, let me just double-check with you ..... When I am doing this, should I hold the right sides together, as I am sewing up the shoulders? And, you mentioned that you are left-handed; does it matter which direction I sew it up, right to left or left to right? I am right-handed. Well, I will need to sew up one shoulder, then pick up stitches to do a small neckline, then sew up the other shoulder. So, I think I need to sew from the outside of the shoulder, moving in to the center. Does that sound right? Thank you, again, for your video. 😃🧶🪡🪢
Thank you for your kind comments. I always prefer to crochet the pieces of my garments together whether crocheted or knitted, it is so much faster and neater. I am in fact right handed. Yes, hold the right sides together when you are joining the pieces so that the seam is on the inside of the garment. It doesn’t really matter which direction you work in when joining I.e. from neckline to shoulder or vice versa but, because I am right handed I start on the RH side of a garment and work to the left. Hope this is helpful.
I know your good at explaining, i still cant get it ,its too much for my small brain. 😢
how can I fin your video for the start to the end of this sweater? I really like it
If you type LKC Knitted toddlers cardigan tutorial into the RUclips search you will see that there are 40 videos to teach you how to make this cardigan. Let me know if you can’t find them.
It would have been so much more helpful if you had demonstrated a couple of stitches of how to do this . The title says joining the sleeve seams and side seam but the video doesn't show any actual joining , just that you did it!

Dumb as b**** don't you know we have to see first to do something you are just doing nonsense here if you really want to teach first learn how to teach a******
So what is the difference between this technique and Slip slip knit (SSK)?
This is the first time I've seen it knitted like that. Lots of extra moves. Why. After all, it is much easier when the thread lies on the index finger of the left hand. I have to give credit, you have a very beautiful knitting. I watched all your videos and was amazed at how neat and even you knit.
Simply explained. Thank you.
Not clear
Thank you
Do you iron or press the pieces before stitching
I never follow instructions to iron or press a knitted garment - not even one purchased from a store. I only ever steam my knitted garments. I don't block garments before steaming either. I lay them out, steam them from about 4 inches above the garment and pat them into shape and pat the edges a bit flat and let them dry out. I find that if you iron or press a knitted garment it ruins the texture and elasticity of the fibre and flattens and stretches the garment. Hope this is useful.
Please show round neck boder.
how much stitches should I cast chest to neck
Beautiful yarn
How do you knit sweater with v neck
Unfortunately I don't have any videos for a V neck sweater. Perhaps that is something I will consider doing in the winter months. Watch this space!
Does this crochet method work on stair step shoulder?
Very helpful! Thank you! ❤️
Saved to my knitting playlist, thank you..
What an awesome idea. So easy!!!
Your videos are explained VERY easy! THANKYOU!! I've just started looking at cables i was always nervous doing them, 🤪 and if it said c8b or f I was putting 8 on cable needle. The books for beginners don't say cable half lol.....I get very tangled with stitches so I bought a hooked cable needle which helps stitches stay on then I'll tuck the needle in work too like you've shown. THANKYOU! ❣🦋🧶💜
I always prefer your videos. You explain very simple how to decrease where some people go on & on before showing. THANKYOU! 🧶💜🧶
Your video is very helpful. I have a question. On the pattern I am using at home it says to decrease one at the end of each row for the next five rows. And THEN it says to decrease one on each end of the next three alternate rows. So I get the alternate rows instruction, I'm just wanting it made clear to me that I am to decrease one on each knit and pearl row when it speaks of the "next five rows."
Hi there, thank you for your comment. I was quoting from the pattern. I haven't made many videos this year as I have been working but I will make some more as soon as I can. I will remember to explain the terminology of a pattern in different ways as we all have different interpretations of the instructions. Hopefully then I can help every subscriber and viewer of my videos.
Thanks for your super helpful video
Thank you so much Laura.
If the cast on is 118 stitches , still I have to take 1 stich only extra ?
As a beginner, I found it a bit fast to keep up with sadly!
Sorry you found it so. I tried not to crochet fast or too slow. Did you slow the video down on the RUclips settings?
A nicely shown tutorial. Thank you 🥰🥰
Hi Lona, have learnt a lot watching your video, but I’m stuck on how to decrease on purl side of work. I know how to do the knit side but not the purl side. Could you please show me on the video if you don’t mind Thanks Lynette
What does all the initials stand for on each video thete is e.g. LFC, LKC? Plus others 🤔😊 Thanks
Hi Donna, apologies for the delay in replying, I work full time but I am coming to the end of my employment contract and I'm looking forward to refocusing on my hobbies. The LKC means Lona's Knitting Class and the LCC means Lona's Crochet Class. I used the initials to help me when I was searching for my own videos. People have told me that these are not helpful to people searching for videos so I set up my own Channel named "Lona's Lessons in Knitting and Crochet" and I have moved all my videos on to it.
